My husband has been cleanly shaven since I've known him. He's been wanting to grow a beard/mustache for as long as I remember, but he couldn't for various reasons. But this next summer/fall, he's probably going to try it on for size! I think it looks nice on some guys but not all. I can't imagine him with facial growth right now, so it should be interesting! It seems like there's a definite difference in beard style that either makes a guy look young and sorta stylish or old fashioned and old looking. I don't know what makes the difference though...maybe the length?

It depends on the person. For example, I tried growing a beard when I retired from the Air Force but found out my beard grows in splotches (except on my neck). I don't have a goatee for the same reason. I used to have a mustache, but it's mostly grey and my wife didn't like it.

I would prefer to have a full beard, but since I now shave my head (ugly baldness), I have a simple mustache and goatee.

What ever makes my wife the most happy at the time. It really doesn't matter to me. Currently I sport just a mustashe but have gone with a neatly trimmed short to medium beard from time to time.

Most of the men in my church have facial hair. My dad and Uncle Brian both have mustaches. I personally like facial hair. I think a man should be a man, why would God haven given them the Ability to have one if he didn't want them to grow them? I have nothing wrong with clean shaven men either. It's just my personal preference that men can have them. Additionally, I don't think it's fair to think that ministry men shouldn't have facial hair. I mean our own Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ had a beard. As long as it is neatly trimmed I think it is appropriate. :lol

Um, women have the ability to grow leg and armpit hair - some even have light mustaches - but I think you all would be against that!

What if a man can't grow any facial hair? I couldn't even grow any kind of goatee until I hit about 32 (though I have had a mustache since my early 20's). I only shave once a week. I cannot (or at least not yet) grow any other facial hair. A beard is a long lost dream for me. It certainly is disconcerting to hear those who think men MUST have beards (for whatever unbiblical reason they arrive at), because I couldn't have one if I wanted it.
