"Vanity of vanities, vanity of vanities, all is vanity!" - Thus saith the Preacher. We live for just a handful of decades upon this temporal earth, in this temporal skin of flesh. That, of course, is assumed that if Christ does not return for us in our lifetime. Use this time wisely, because time is irreversible, and the time shall come when we shall have no pleasure in our years (Ecclesiastes 12:1). The book of Ecclesiastes offer us the things that we should do, and the things that we ought not to do regarding our life. We ought NOT to pursue the things of this world: "What good is it if a man profiteth the thing of the whole world, but loses his own soul?" a) So…

I have been collecting law enforcement, secuirty and military uniform shoulder patches for sometime now. With extra caution added to security because of the terrorist attacks on this Republic back on 11 Sept. 2001, collecting these is a challenge. My most interesting challenge came from the Israeli Government. I emailed thier public-affairs officer and simply requested one. He emailed back requesting the following: -A verifiable street address. -A verifiable working telephone number. -A verfiable e-mail. -My reason(s) for requesting one, and, -The name, address, telephone number and email of a local law enforcement source with the RANK of Captain of abov…

Your spouse (or potential spouse) just asked you to run to the store for a soda. You take the 2 year old with you. As you pull up to the convenience store, one you know well and is less then a mile from your house, the front parking spot is open. You pull right up to the door. Because of the windows, you can actually see the soda you want, which means that you will be able to see your vehicle at all times while in the store. You estimate that if you run in, you could go, get the soda, pay, and be back in the car in, about a minute and a half. Its cold. And snowing. You have automatic locks on your keychain. Do you: 1. Leave the kid in the car and run in? 2. G…

We just rolled out the all new Online Baptist Toolbar. A KJV toolbar. This is better than other toolbars and I will tell you why. The features of our toolbar includes the following: * Google search bar. You have to have that. * KJV Bible Search. With a click of a button you have a KJV search that opens up in a new window. This comes in handy when you are on other sites. * OB Messages. Don't worry about missing anything on OB because you will be informed from the toolbar. * Links to OB. The message boards are only a click away. * Radio Feeds. You can listen to good music while you are surfing the internet. I pre programmed in two radio stations but after install y…

In another thread Chevy said he is left-handed. I figured this would make a good poll. Which are you? I am both but not ambidextrous (using both hands with equal ease). I use my left hand for writing but my right hand for most everything else (using a fork, using a bat, etc.). I cannot write with my right hand though.

The IRS extended the tax filing deadline to April 17th this year because the 15th falls on Sunday and the 16th is a holiday in some areas. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16791534/?GT1=8921 Does this affect you? When do you file and how? We usually file ASAP and use TurboTax with e-file.

I don't know where to put this at so I figured since it had to do with school the teen area would be good but then I wanted to ask the adults since they were the ones who could really help here so I am asking the adults more than my fellow teens. In economis (which we started this week) we are suppose to make up a fictious life. Suppose to come up with a name and Job and make a budget and till the end of the school year we are "living" this life. So here are some things I need help with. 1.)I am not creative so any ideas on names. 2.) I have always love working with computers and really wish that I could learn to program. Since we are suppose to chose a secular jo…

After looking at a few recent posts, I've got an interesting poll for y'all - what do you think of the origins of the BAPTIST church? 1) Unbroken Succession - The Baptist church was found by Jesus Christ in the NT times, and from then to now, there has always been an unbroken succession of Baptist churches that are related to each other not just by doctrine, but by contact as well. In other words, these churches have established relationships with each other all the time. This view is held by a group of Baptists known as "Baptist briders". 2) Unbroken Heritage - The Baptist church was found by Jesus Christ in the NT times, and from then to now, there has always been a…
