I just found out today that the son of other friends of ours has passed away. I don't know the details, but I do know that he was only in his mid-20s. The family name is Hammond. Please be in prayer for the parents and his siblings, as well as other family/friends. Thanks.

My husband woke me up at 4:40 this morning telling me he needed me to take him to the hospital. (that in itself is worrisome for me as soon as I hear it, because my hubs doesn't do doctors unless he absolutely is almost on death's door...literally) He said that his leg, which had been hurting him for a few days, was swollen, discolored, and felt like he was moving a rock when he tried to move it. gulp... So we headed to the emergency room. We got right in, since it was so early in the morning. And they began tests. Cat scan. Blood tests. EKG. Everyone (including us) figured it was a blood clot, but of course had to be sure. At 8 am, he had an ultrasound done on his l…

I am not at liberty to give details but I have a friend in the ministry who is having struggles that are near to overwhelming him and his wife. These struggles are coming from many directions and they are near to breaking point. I know that they are not alone in this, so I would greatly encourage you to pray for any ministry men, couples, and families that you know of. You just do not know the struggles they are hiding beneath their prayer letters.

I've asked for a meeting tonight with a fellow believer - basically a Matthew 18:15 situation. I would really appreciate prayers for us and for this meeting - especially for me that I can approach it meekly and not get all uptight about what we're discussing. And that reconciliation will take place. Thanks!

Without going into detail, I would appreciate any prayers that can be offered for my family and me. Circumstances have arisen that are thrusting me into the only caregiver of our family. Everything needed in our daily lives is now my responsibility for the time being. To put a stop to any doubts, no...there are no marriage difficulties or problems. I have the blessing of taking care of my wife for now; in turn, I'll not only be working the insane hours that I normally do, but I'll also be taking on all that she did in our daily lives. Please pray for her, our family, and for me... I want to do right by the Lord, my wife, my family, and anyone who may be a …

I received a message from my friend Doug Devine from Pensacola. He will be heading to Papua New Guinea to work with our mutual friends the Florence family. He is an older gentleman and a very firm believer in the power of prayer. He is going to PNG for an undetermined amount of time to be a help to the Florence family in any way he can. Please for him, the Florence family, and for PNG. If anyone would like more info about this ministry please contact me directly.

We just received this email this morning: " Jonathan was in a serious accident on Friday morning. He had a shear to his brain from the whiplash-the brain shifted inside his skull. The last MRI on Jon’s brain showed that the shear on his brain was severe-many broken/bleeding neurons that often do not show up on the scan, but in this case are very prominent which shows considerable tears. The next couple days are the most critical. They may bring him out of the induced coma on Monday and have no idea of the results: brain dead, normal or somewhere in between." This is one of the sons of very good friends of ours. They headed out for the 12-hour-drive thi…

Can you all please add Melissa L. to your prayers? She is a young woman who has overcome many challenges. She is scheduled to have a serious surgery on Thursday and it's quite scary for her. Due to her other medical conditions, she will be in the hospital for probably a month afterwards. Thank you all.

I've debated on whether to post this, but it has come to the point that we need God's people to pray. We are in a dire situation in our area. I'll spare the details of everything...what has gone wrong and the neglect of our local government. Our local water source is a river, and it has basically dried up. I took our son (a few days ago) to look at the river, and in one section, it's basically only an arm's length in width with just a trickle flowing though that particular section. Our family is buying bottled water to use for cooking and drinking since there are major bans on usage. Please pray for rain for our area. Though I don't work in our local water…

The northwest coast is being hit by storms from Typhoon Songda. We've had rain and some wind the last couple of days, while other places in WA have had power outages, etc. The bad stuff is supposed to hit tomorrow (Saturday) about noon and continue til early Sunday morning. High winds, with possible hurricane strength winds. There are currently over 50,000 without power. We will likely lose ours tomorrow (we lose it several times from Oct-Feb due to the normal winds during that time of year). Tornadoes hit northern Oregon. There's a possibility of some really, really major damage. Edited to add: we just got word that the Hood Canal Bridge is closed …

Sigh...I need wisdom! I'm so glad for James 1:5 - "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." I've been suffering from a bone spur on my neck, a partial tear in my shoulder, a torn ligament in my wrist, degenerative joint disease, osteoporosis, tendinitis, and bursitis. I've been referred to an ortho-surgeon for my wrist and shoulder, but he doesn't do necks. I need to make a decision about having the tears and bone spur treated at one time or whether to have just the tears treated. Sigh...I'm truly not desiring to have anymore surgeries, but the pain that I've been in is disrupting…

A friend of mine (who used to post here) said this morning that his cousin Chantell was in an accident today. Her spine was severed and she'll be in a wheelchair the rest of her life. He has asked for prayer for recovery and for the comfort only the Holy Spirit can give. Please pray for her. Thanks.

I've recently started listening to J Vernon McGees through the Bible radio broadcast. It's a 5 year program where he teaches through the entire Bible. So far it's been very challenging and exciting. though he's not perfect (He teaches the Gap theory)..he is sounds for the most part. I want to encourage you to join me on the Bible bus. If you have a smart phone you can download the Thru the Bible app and listen freely, you can also purchase the series in a variety of formats from their website.

We're not sure what's going on. She has had a terrible headache basically for about 2 weeks now. At times, it lets up...but it doesn't go away. She's also extremely tired and constantly sleepy. There are other symptoms too. All of her blood work came back fine. The doctor has made an appointment for a CAT scan; however, the quickest appointment isn't until the 23rd. We may end up having to go to the ER for one before then. We would deeply appreciate any and all prayers.

About a month ago, I purchased Arabic/English Gospels of John that contain a commentary for Muslims. I went to one of my neighbors and spoke to him and gave him one. Fast forward to today, my brakes need done so I took my car to the shop, walking back into my street I saw my friend Amjad outside, we made eye contact and I motioned to him that I was praying for him, he motioned for me to come towards him, he told me he had read a little of the Gospel of John, he invited me to his house this Sunday to talk with him about Islam and Christianity. Pray for him to be saved!

Hey, all, if I may impose upon you for a quick prayer, this week we are planning on going to look at a building we'd like to seek to obtain for our new church house. We have been without our own building for almost 3 years now. We have no money to speak of, and are loathe to get a loan, as the Bible says to owe no many anything. We could afford the upkeep, but not a payment. It is the old Mormon building that has been closed down for about 6 years, but been kept up very nicely. I so miss being able to have sunday school, to have potlucks and to have as many services for a long as we choose, to set up wifi and a couple computers to make available some good online trai…

I'm praising the Lord with awe and thanksgiving for responding so swifty to two specific prayers that I had prayed in the last three days. However, I'd like to request more prayer for two very dear and precious ladies that the Lord so wonderfully has put in my path to share God's love with. Both ladies are in their early 70's...one goes to church (EV Free), and one got very soured as a child by an uncle who was a "baptist" preacher (sigh). I shared the Gospel with one of the ladies (in writing) several years ago, and the Lord led me to share my printed testimony (as posted here in OLB) with the other lady just a couple of months ago. On Wednesday as I drove to the p…

I am still not quite sure what God has for me in the future. I am still burdened for Uganda, though just not exactly sure God has called me there. 1. Pray God will clearly direct me and lead me. 2. A helpmeet is still a need. right now life just seems to be at a stand still. I really don't see anything on the horizon and to be honest I feel like I'm in a rut. I'm still serving God, but I really desire full-time ministry and marriage.

I met a young man about 4 months or so ago in my hometown in California that was hitch hiking to the east coast. I had the opportunity to speak with him about the freedom that Christ offers for sinners, and we exchanged numbers. He got all the way to Pennsylvania in one ride from California! Since then he has texted me and had some questions about God. Just last night he started texting me saying he has a lot of fears and has trust problems. I'm not really sure what he means by this, but I shared the gospel with him and how one receives salvation, and suggested he visit a good church where he can maybe get some help. He ended up telling me he believes that God loves him b…

Next Monday my Pastor and I will be visiting two of my friends from my pre-Christian life. Both are drug addicts, one of them had both of his parents die last year from drinking themselves to death. Pray for spiritual breakthrough in the lives of these two young men. It's horribly sad to see their broken lives, I believe it's time for Jesus to make new creatures out of these two individuals.

Please pray for my family, brothers and sisters in Christ. I was an abusive, drug addict, drinking, adulterous husband in the past. My wife left me three years ago because of it. She was also adulterous. I have since been saved, am completely regenerate in Christ, but my wife is not. We have since started dating for 2 months, still living separate. She is now pregnant, praise God, but I am afraid she might be considering an abortion. Please pray for us. I don't think you need our names, God knows who we are and He will know that you are praying for our situation.

In a few weeks here, I will be preaching a message in Uganda as part of an effort to start a church, my topic is "We are sinners by choice", Basically It it is about how we have free will and tat we choose to sin, and that we have a sin nature as well. Please pray for conviction of sin and that my message would create hearts prepared to receive the Gospel when it is preached more fully later on in the week. 2 Th 3:1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:
