I go to an IFB church, I agree with nearly all of the teachings at that church, but my faith is personal. It's not a title or an association with a group or denomination that defines what I believe. So I'm sort of with Kevin on this one.

I don't like placing myself in a man-made religious or denominational box (because that sort of means I define my beliefs by a certain classification [by a 'religion' or 'denomination'], not defining my beliefs by what I believe through the Bible). That probably makes no sense but I can't explain it any other way. :D

I myself call bible believer or bible believing baptist. I do go to independent fundamental baptist. Alot of people don't know much about IFB. That is why it is easier to say bible believing baptist so they know baptist stand for the bible. I won't be surprise they would say, "Which Bible?" They will know later but first bring them to Christ as their Savior. Spread the gospel to them that they may know the Lord. Glory to God the Almighty Savior!!

I for one am I.F.Baptist, that said.. it says alot about me to others. Saves time and bother. I am born again, that is not second, but first.
I would rather be on a board with other Ind. Fund.Baptist because we all know where we are on doctrine and such things. To me it isn't about a demonination it is about recognizing a fellow believer. I have discovered that calvinist don't want to be called calvinist, charasmatic
don't want to be charasmatic, etc. Even the term born again can mean
a lot to different things to different people. I am thankful for this board and its name and I meet the definition totally. That is all it means to me. It is information.

That said, I also want to add compassionate. I proudly identify with IFB, but I do believe there are a lot out of IFBers there that could use a good dose of Christ's compassion!!!

Christian, disciple of Christ attending a solid IFB church where the lost are welcome and the disciple will be challenged to increase their service through individual Bible study and prayer.
