Members Popular Post 2bLikeJesus
Hello everyone! Sorry I have not been around as much anymore. I am just finishing up two degrees in school and my jobs hours increased on top of that. It is all I can do to get all my homework done each day. After keeping myself strictly celibate for the last 19 years out of personal conviction concerning the circumstances surrounding the dissolution of my last marriage (not open to discussion here, there is already a thread on that topic and you can probably infer my stance on the topic), I have courted and now proposed to Miss Laurel Ann Carpenter and she has said yes! My previous marriage vows were fulfilled with the death of my last wife due to cancer about 2 years ago freeing me to seek another and I started courting Miss Carpenter in January of last year. Miss Carpenter was a pastors wife until the death of her Baptist church husband Pastor Allen Carpenter about 4 years ago. She is a wonderful, godly woman who is very knowledgeable in the Word. We will be wed on June 24, 2016 at a small service at the base of a favorite waterfall in my gorgeous Oregon wilderness. Her son, who is the Pastor at Franklin Lakes Baptist Church in New Jersey will be performing the wedding with my pastor and associate pastor in attendance. Please pray for us since she has to move 2,600 miles and make a radical culture adjustment to a small logging community in Oregon. Bro. Members Invicta
Yes I join everyone else in offering Congratulations. I have two weddings this year, The first will be on July 2nd. My eldest grandson aged 20 will be getting married in Ramsbottom about 5 hours drive from here. This is mainly on some of the most overcrowded and dangerous highways in the country. My daughters say it is too far for me to drive at my age. They are trying to work out if one of them will be able to come with us and share the driving. James and Jess met while on a beach mission. The second will be at our church so there will no problem with travel to that. That is the following week on July 9th. 2bLikeJesus
Administrators HappyChristian Posted April 18, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2016 I am SO happy for you, 2b! What great news! If the two of you are ever up this way (northern Olympic Peninsula), let me know and the four of us can get together - we'll take you out for supper. Just congrats to you and felicitations to her! Members 2bLikeJesus
We will be at a Mariners game against the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday June 25th! Part of our honeymoon trip takes us through Seattle and being a baseball fanatic there is no way I go to Seattle when the Mariners are in town and not see a game. Bro. Well, if you would like to catch the game we have tickets for Section 221 Row 5 Seats 1 and 2. The seat map states there are still a couple tickets left next to us. If not we could maybe meet for dinner before the game. You probably know the best places to eat near the stadium! Invicta
Administrators HappyChristian Posted April 19, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 19, 2016 Well, not likely as far as restaurants go. LOL We are over on the peninsula. I haven't lived on the Seattle side since I was 12. Needless to say, many restaurants have come and gone since then! I'll talk to my hubs and get back with you.
