Well Shalom! Have not been around to post for at least a year, Wasn't terribly active then - however I would like to find an online outlet of believers who share common beliefs and values. I understand we wont agree on everything, however, that shouldn't stop fellowship. anyway, hope to be around more often. JG

Hi, my name's Matt, but as you can see, I go by swordbearer on here. I'm a Christian, and can't say I really have been, except for about 4 years ago. From a young age, I was told Jesus was my Saviour, and I received that, but it wasn't until recent that I can say that I actually began to develop and learn more about my faith. I started by calling myself Catholic, but I've come a long way from then. Hope I can find some good fellowship here, non Phariseeical environment, but not Sadduceeical either. All in the love of Christ. Matt AKA swordbearer

God is gracious enough to welcome me back into the flock. I have backslidden and lived a life not glorfying God. Realized how i messed my life, I run back to the Father. I want to seek God again and have the same passion I did when I first got converted. Thanks for reading. May God bless you.

I would like to make the following announcement: My name is Bob Hutton, the real one, and I want it to be known that someone in my area of Kent, England has been impersonating me on the internet by the use of a publicly used computer, ie in the local library. As a street preacher based in Canterbury I have had a great deal of opposition from opponents of the Gospel who have attempted to stop me. Not content with that, they have been going on social media and putting my name to comments, most of which have been deeply disrespectful to others. I discovered, yesterday, that this happened to your forum. The kind of comments he, or she, has made, were designed to …

Hello to all, My Name is Orval Stanley, I am retired and live in northern Oklahoma. I do a devotional that I post on Facebook under my name. I don't post every day but several days per month so feel free to read them if you want to find my views on things. I try to keep my posts biblical and encouraging though I do have pet peeves once in a while. I joined this forum in 2007 and have visited many times over the years but never been allowed to post or respond to anything. Which is kinda weird to me. I am IFB, KJV, and an adult Sunday school teacher in our local church. I have also pastored a few years and do pulpit supply now and then. I am retired from se…

I've been gone for so long thought I should probably say "Hi" again to all. It has been over a year (or two?) since I've been on the forum. Random Dislikes: Apple (the Company) politics, Amazon (it's power and politics), Car and Truck ads, Desktop computer OS being dumbed down for the sake of compatibility with phones and tablets. Random Likes: Amazon Prime (same day, one day, two day free shipping!), Apple OS/Hardware/Software, My wife's oatmeal pie and BBQ porkchops. North Carolina sweet iced tea. First Computer: Apple /// Lives with me: Wife, 2 cats, 2 anoles, & tropical fish. Doesn't live with me: Two adult sons and one daughter-in-law…

Hello, all. I was on here for a while, then life and ministry and ...life ...happened and I drifted away for a while. I forgot my username, then found it by accident on my old computer, and thought I would stop back in and renew old acquaintances.

hello all! I'm new here and am hoping to get to know folks and learn. I come from a Roman Catholic to liberal Christian to fundamentalist road...and my soul finally feels at home.

I got saved in 1982 when I was in a crisis. I walked into a Bible church, and talked to the pastor. I got saved that day, and in a few months I moved from TX to WA. I asked my neighbors about churches, and heard a lot of negative comments about one in particular. This church was described as "legalistic", "fanatical", etc, etc. This sounded interesting! I decided to go. I walked in to morning services on Round up Sunday, and sat under an evangelist named Al Lacy. I was hooked! The people in this church taught me so much. I was baptized and set out to learn all I could in my "new convert zeal". We moved numerous times, courtesy of the USN, always finding another IFB churc…

Independent Baptist missionaries and not only living like kings in Eastern Europe I worked from early 2000s for missionaries in my country and I got saved through their work, back then when people did not have much, did not want much. I was raised in a Bible environment but in my country all the born again christians don't believe in assurance of salvation and the standards are low. I never had a high standard myself and I admit I am not perfect but who is it ? I was appreciated for my honesty and hard work and that's why I was hired as translator and many other things to help this man or that man. I write this out of anger and it might hurt people financ…

Hello members, I was a practicing christian as a teenager but fell away shortly after enlisting in the Navy. I am 41 years old now and I have been pleading with Lord for the past 2 years to fill me with the Holy Spirit so I would be drawn to the Father through the reading of his word. I have a ton of questions. What lead me to this forum? The past 6 months I have been studying the bible daily. That lead me to research on the Internet what would be the best bible version for me to commit to for study. In researching that topic I found this forum. I read both the nasb and the kjv. I'm not even an amature bible scholar so my only reason for prefering t…

Hey, I just joined and am looking forward to being a member of this site. I was raised Baptist and the Church I am currently attending is maybe a little too relaxed and 'hip' for my liking now after some recent events I have experienced. I felt comfortable there when I was unknowingly still serving Satan. Now that I am again living in the Holy Spirit, I am finding more and more issues with it. I hope to find some other opinions and similar experiences as I dig through the site. Now, about me. I am a long time sinner. In fact, it has always come natural. To the point I could be sinning when I thought I was doing something good or serving a good purpose. I have…

Afterwards I did not read the bible; I just went to church. Later, as a young adult, I began to have doubts about my salvation which eventually led to a life of uncertainty, fear, & misery. I doubted my salvation because I did not understand how God would save someone just for saying a prayer “in Jesus' name” and being baptized. I was confused about all the teaching I had heard growing up in a church. I was confused about God & the bible. I did not understand the meaning of “believing” in Jesus. I did not know what to believe or how to believe. One bible verse that I had trouble understanding was Romans 10:13. I would call on the name of the Lord many times, but c…

Hello all, I have been here before, but, to be honest, I have forgotten what my old screen name was. I was not especially pleasant at times, but God has taught me quite a but about pride and humility since then. I am just a miserable sinner in desperate need of the salvation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ. Sincerely and respectfully, Brother Stafford

Dear brethren, greeting from Him that has loved us and made us accepted in the beloved. I hold to the Baptist Catechism of 1693 and 1689 Second London Confession (though do not maintain eternal generation or Calvinism), maintain the five solae and read the Authorized Version, God's pure, preserved word in English nine times a year. Thusly, that means maintaining and defending the Second Rabbinic Bible (Daniel Bomberg ben Chayyim 1252 Hebrew text) as well as the Byzantine text (typically Scrivener's or Beza's fifth edition). However, while no modernist, I am no longer a fundamentalist but a Particular Baptist. This means the beliefs of those such as John Bunyan, Issac Bakk…
