If you notice the timing and the response of my post, you WILL notice that it was in reference to the KJVO folks. If you re-read it you will notice that it was not talking about JTB. You will notice that JTB last post in that thread was 21 back from mine.

If me standing for the KJV as God's Word is a "poser", then I guess I am a poser. Some folks say that I too much for the KJV, and others say that I am not KJV enough because I study the Greek/Hebrew out at times. To be honest, I do not care what what others think about me and my view of the Bible.
I believe that I have God's complete and accurately preserved words in the KJV, that WILL aways remain the stand of the admins and moderators. If that is sitting on the fence, I guess I am sitting on the fence.

When I joined this site I thought that it stood for the Book (AV 1611). At least, that's what the "form rules" said. But I see that there are more and more bible correctors joining on in here that know more than God. Nothing is being done to "stem this tide." Undoubtedly, this is because the Administrators and Moderators are posers also when it comes to the inerrancy and purity of the word of God. It's called fence sitting. Pose like you are a bible believer on the one hand, but continue to correct the bible everytime you do not like what it says on the other hand. This so you can pass off as an intellectual, scholarly, "student" of the "original" while at the same time being a defender of the "fundamentals." As long as we just all get along that's all that matters. I predict that this site will end up no better then the "Baptistboard" or any Neo Evangelical website.

I'm outta here!

Wil

I don't believe any of the Mods or the Admin here are "posers" at all. I've never seen any of them declare anything other than that the KJB is the perfect Word of God.

Those who come into this site attacking the KJB and trying to force their views upon this board are banned. Those who present a different view, but are respectful and don't appear to be here for the sole purpose of correcting the KJB are generally accepted, while their views regarding the KJB are refuted. Typically, there is also a limit to just how long such a discussion is allowed before it's warned to end or the thread is locked.

I agree that it can get tiring seeing the same old back and forth on the issue continually coming up, but the Mods and Admin (as well as the vast majority of regular posters here) all staunchly support and defend the inerrancy of the KJB.

I would not like to see you leave, but if you do choose to go, please go in peace.

The Bible clearly tell us there are different levels of Christian maturity. The discussions here may well lead a brother Christian to read and research more and help them grow from milk to meat. You have clearly done research - please keep sharing that knowledge. I would ask you not to leave just because others seek to know why you hold your belief. A sound, reasoned response - which I have seen you strive to use - is a far better way to present our faith than "quitting the field". God gave us an incredible ability - above all other animals - in that we can exercise logic and reason. Stay and grow with us if this "point of contention" is the only obstacle to fellowshipping with us.

Wayne

PS - There is a fence between mankind and God, that fence is sin - and Jesus is the only gate.

You're coming around, John., and getting closer. :thumb :clap::clap:

Now if you could just lose that word errors and stay with the word, variations, you'd be all the way here. :Green :Green :Green

This the way I have believed for many years. I prefer to call them variations because there are not changes in truth or doctrine. But I for many years have not held to the inerrancy of the KJV or any translation. They are totally trustworthy if they are a good strict translation like the KJV, ASV or the NASV.

John,

That's a contradiction all in one breath. The KJV (King James Version) and the NASV (New American Standard) don't even agree with each other. The NASV is far and away such an erroneous translation that is so full of Satanic lies it's actually tough to know where to begin to tell them all..

Sorry in advance for my corny humor, but I've had this song going through my head ever since I read this topic!...

'I'm a poser,
He's a poser,
She's a poser,
We're a poser,
Wouldn't you like to be a poser too?"

I just can't believe I'm old enough to remember that song although it's a vague memory!

I suppose I may be a poser too. (or is the cool way to spell it poseur because then it adds that french sort of arrogance with it?)

I have to ask this who believe that relying on the TR for study and preaching help is being a "bible corrector" if they think that all languages that don't have a bible right now, should be interpreted from the KJV?

Simple question. Should we use the KJV to build other languages bibles off of, or the TR???

Simple answer - Use the King James Bible. Your "TR" was derived from the KJB, not the other way around. Using your "TR" still makes you the final authority because you can then translate it anyway you feel inclined to do so, and your resultant "translation" will differ from everybody else's. The flesh loves to be its own final authority.
