But the Word says in Romans 2:16 that every person is going to be judged "...according to my (Paul’s) Gospel." Don’t ever forget that!

Les Feldick

Rom 2:16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Paul teaching who does the judging ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man (Jesus) whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
Rom 3:6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
Rom 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
~~~~~~~~~~~ Other New Testament scriptures teaching who does the judging ~~~~~~~~~~~~~

John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 8:16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

John 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Act 10:42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he (Jesus of Nazareth) which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

Heb 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

Those who only follow Paul do not understand the term "according to my gospel". They lift Paul's teachings above Jesus and God the Father. Its not Paul's good news that will be doing any judging, but rather Jesus will be our judge.

:goodpost:  There are many these days who need to read this as the whole "Paul thing" has tagged a lot of folks.

I gotta admit, these posts MC has been posting from this Feldick fella have had me thoroughly confused. It's like I'm hearing one side of a telephone conversation and trying to figure out the whole shebang from that. I don't know who Feldick is, I don't get the "Paul thing" and I'm not sure who's fighting who over what, or why. Feldick don't sound too smart, from what I have read posted on here, but is this goofball someone we should even be giving time to?

I got a donkey up on the hill behind my house that brays from time to time, but I'm too busy to go up there and bray back.

Braying is just what donkeys do.

Working is what I do.

Don't lose your focus on your work just to stop and go bray at the donkeys.

Anyway, that's kind of how I view it all, not that my view is worth much.

WW, I think the point about it is that Feldick pushes a Paul over Christ doctrine. Sadly, many - and we've had them on here - choose to believe that, if what Jesus said about something seems different from what Paul says, rather than dovetailing scripture, Paul is right, Jesus is wrong.

Oh, they don't say it like that. Instead, they say Jesus was addressing the Jews and Paul the church. So what Jesus said isn't really relevant to us because it isn't for us. Hence the idea of following Paul or the "Paul thing".

Like WW, I have no clue about this kind of teaching. But it sure doesn't sound like any IFB teaching I have ever heard.

It's been around for awhile, not so much in IFB that I'm aware of, but it now seems to be getting into some IFBs too. There are those that hold to the idea that basically only what Paul wrote is for Gentiles and Christians today, with pretty much the rest of Scripture confined to the Jews only. They cut and paste the Word (not unlike what Thomas Jefferson did with his 'bible') to the point the Bible is destroyed and no longer presents a coherent and steady message. This teaching is totally contrary to traditional IFB teaching upon Scripture and is biblically unsound and yet another work of the devil to discredit the Word of God and make it of none effect.

I always understood this phrase not to mean  'Paul's gospel', [as in a salvation gospel], but rather that 'according to what Paul preached', - and that message was that "God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ".

Know what I mean?

Paul had no other Gospel, than what was the one and only Gospel. The Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

Yeah, I know, that is that guy who was God in human flesh, in the 4 Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

It is that very one who was with God in the beginning, and chose to die on a cross for us, way back when, who voluntarily purchased salvation for all who would believe in him with all their heart.

Yep, the same guy.

And, he came back alive!

But as those who believe this corrupt 'form' of knowledge, evidently don't understand is, Jesus Christ did all this great stuff, in the 4 Gospels, of which they state does not apply to us.

I hear bells a ringing, and it sounds like a 'ding-a-ling-alert'.   :clapping:
