I read once that Queen Elizabeth the first bathed 3 times a year and that was more than average.   I have a skin sensitivity and my doctor a few years ago said I should not continue to bathe every day.

 

When my wife was at teaching college in the north of England she did teaching practice in a school nearby.  She said she had heard of children being sewn into their clothes for the winter but had never experienced it before.  The said the form teacher wore very heavy perfume to cover the aroma.

We have Mennonites around here that do a lot of roofing work and they don't use deodorant or deodorant soaps so you can imagine their scent after a day of roofing in the hot sun.

When I drove OTR truck I'd go days without bathing sometimes but I did carry a bunch of No Rinse wipes with me and they actually did a pretty good jOB of cleaning me up. I ended up sending a bunch to my nephew in Iraq because they'd go days without bathing  when they were out in the desert hunting for buried weapons.

 ASOD, now that you reminded me, my brother who was in Iraq also, requested lots of wet wipes too. I can't imagine even going a day without bathing! Let alone being in a dry, dusty, windy desert!
