We're having a special service tomorrow and I've invited several ladies, two said they would come, the others said maybe. Please pray that they will come, but especially for one of them. D is not a Christian and was scared by the last church she went to (I won't go into details but it has greatly affected the way she views Christians), and is really hesitant about returning to a church, but she is coming to the service tomorrow only because we are friends. Please pray that the message will speak to her heart and she will be saved or at least will no longer be afraid of church and will come back.

Thank you for your prayers. Last night one of the ladies, T, texted me saying she didn't want to come to church today. After exchanging several texts, she finally agreed to let me pick her up in between Sunday school and the preaching service. I think her family is pressuring her to not come to church. She is a very new Christian so she is struggling with being faithful to church.

D did come to church! She said she enjoyed the service, but was unsure if she would come back on a regular basis. I think she might come once in awhile if we have a special activity or speaker (not very often!), and I don't want to pressure her or scare her away, so I am just happy she came today and told her so. She seemed to appreciate that. She also enjoyed talking to our guest preacher. She loves Nepal and wants to someday return to work in an orphanage and our guest preacher is familiar with Nepal so it gave her a connection they could both talk about. She was thrilled that he knew the places she talked about having visited when she was there last summer.

Thank you again for your prayers, I believe God is working in these ladies lives.

That is wonderful to hear, LBJ!  It is sad when new Christians have family pressures not to go to church.

Praise the Lord that D came to church.  I will continue to keep her in my prayers.  I think it is a good idea not to pressure her, and just let the Holy Spirit do His work.  Amen about your guest preacher!  It sounds like D had a great time talking to the preacher.  Who knows?  Maybe she will come back, and get saved.

It is people like these you can possibly reach through an home group.

An encouragement to prayer - & continuing prayer.

We had a men's meeting yesterday to encourage & build up men in the church. A young Indian (Hindu family), befriended shortly before was there also  - first time in the church, so listening to John McArthur's sermon on the inspiration of Scripture - much of it at full speed - did not mean much to him. We had lunch, & a long conversation afterwards. Dilip has been in a detention centre for violating the terms of his student visa, & will return to India in a few days. He was very happy to hear & talk about the Gospel. He was in church again today & we had a missionary speaker (People International) who told us about their work in the -stan countries of central Asia & preached from Romans 10.

I once had the blessing of leading a Muslim to the lord,  her family turn against her for getting saved and she would call me everyday crying about the threats her family was making upon her. one day she called and asked if I would call her son and talk to him for her about her conversion, I did as she had ask of me and I could feel the hate that he had developed for his mother because of her conversion, I found it very difficult to try and explain to him what had occurred with his mother because of the screaming he was doing. so the end result of my call to him revealed useless ,my heart was broken to feel the hate she was having to live with. so I begin to make sure that everyday I would be in contact with her showing her the love the lord had for her, we would spend sometimes hours reading scripture on the telephone about the love God had for her. one Sunday morning before church service she came up to me and begin to cry and tell me how much she loved the Lord and the things he was doing in her life of how he had provided for her a new place to live away from her family and a new job as well and that she needed to be baptized, the following Sunday she was baptized, she was giving a KJV bible by the church and she would often call me and read scripture to me and said she wanted to encourage me as I had her. I lost contact with her years ago and I still pray for her, but I know in my heart one day we will meet again in heaven.  Satan is out to attack the young Christian with discouragement and we need to attack back with encouragement and love , How wonderful it is to share the love of our lord, to God be the Glory

I will be praying
