I am excited my husband's boss was able to get him 2 tickets to the Capital One Bowl game this coming Monday . We weren't able to afford to go last year,but now thanks to his boss we are able to go this year . Thats one thing great about living close to where the games are gonna be played . My sister purchased 2 tickets for both of us for this past Saturdays's UNC vs. UNC-Asheville game at the Dean Dome. Here are some pictures - the last two were taken by our pastor's brother and his daughter. They were given tickets the night before. Their section was just 5 down from us. Couldn't believe it when we saw each other Sunday, bragging to one another about having gone, only to find out that we were at the same game. They arrived about 2 hours before the game, though, and were able to go right down to the court and watch the players warm up. They have multiple pics and video of Hansbrough and Terry warming up. Why do we need this just because one person wanted it? What is wrong with the youth posting questions they want adult input on in the other forums? There's no point to a youth forum if all the adults can post in here anyways. That's why I didn't use the old one much...wasn't any point. Katy-Anne

What's the point of this forum...anyway...I liked being out with the adults I liked their advice on Teen related topics? Now how am I supposed to get advice from them...I think at least we should have a forum teen questions with adult answers and have a selected team of wise adults who are long time members of the forum who are also allowed in that section.

I was not sure where to post this, but I found a website that lets you print your own Christmas cards for free. On another thread we were talking about a card company that used KJV scriptures on their cards ... well with these you can print your verses, however you want to make them. It is getting close to time for College Football. How many SEC fans do we have here and which team do you pull for ? Of course I am a Georgia Bulldog fan.... how bout them DAWGS ? . Some of the other SEC teams are not too bad either but they ain't the Dawgs. :D

Tonight my home town football team, the Nashville Scrappers moved their winning streak up 28 games. This was the State Championship game played in War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, AR. At the end of the 4th quarter it was 14-14. So here comes overtime. Nashville won the toss and chose to give Warren Lumberjacks the ball 1st. The Lumberjacks on Scrappers 10 yard line on their 1st down threw a pass, Scrappers incepted it. Them the Scrappers got the ball on the Lumberjacks 10 yard line, we went 3 with no score, tried a field goal and had a bad snap and missed the winning field goal. Another victory for the Midshipmen. Navy retains the Commander in Chief's Cup. It was a cold windy game but a lot of fun. Philly has a really nice stadium and sports complex.

Many years ago I came across a sermon an IB preacher named Gary Dice when he visited Australia, and from memory he was preaching on this passage, or at least referencing it. He sang a slightly silly song about this section of Romans 7, but I have never been able to find any reference to it anywhere else. I would appreciate it if anyone has heard of it and could give me a reference or link to it, or best case, the sheet music. I know there are many songs that come up when you do a google search, but none of them have been the one I am looking for. It has the words almost direct from the KJV, not just something loosely based on that text. Thanks folks. -

I also noticed he seems quieter, perhaps more humble this time. But even last time I had come to view his particular tendency to boast as just having an immensely positive attitude. He's also careful to thank others and to offer credit where credit is due, while having no compunctions about calling out anyone who deserves none. -

Just to clarify on the repenting God did when Israel turned from their evil ways. The thing here is that their turning from evil ways here is called... works. So since salvation isnt by works ..and turning from evils ways IS works.. hence the issue with repent meaning 'turn from sin'. So there is what I was meaning. -

Thankfully the pastors I know NEVER STOPPED preaching the gospel. Remember, TGL, they're to preach the whole counsel of God, not just salvation messages. And just to be clear, preaching messages that promote conservative, Biblical values is imperative. Maybe one should let the Holy Spirit guide in what these pastors preach, eh?
