Dreams are strange things. How do you dream? Do you frequently remember what you dream? My husband says my dreams are very weird. They are very epic and tell whole stories. I wish I could write some of them down. They could almost be best sellers.

In another thread sojourner mentioned that their church has a noon meal on Sunday, an afternoon service, and no evening service. The church I attend does the same. I wonder how many out there have similar set ups. 1. Are the meals pot lucks or otherwise? 2. How well does it seem to be accepted?

I was just currious to see if I am in the minority on my preference of preachers. I don't think there is a right or wrong as long as they follow Gods will in their lives. That being said I prefer an animated and loud preacher one who's sermans normally scare off the feeble hearted. so What about you What Kind of man of God do you enjoy?

I'm asking this question, not to start a debate (like we really need another one of those..lol), but to see what most IFBs think. I already know what I think about it, but I recently heard an IFB (not mentioning names) say something about how Christians ought not debate doctrines online. The reasons were because it makes the lost not want to become Christians, and because it leads to false doctrine (like Calvinism). (the person saying this used the word "debate", but I said "discuss" because I prefer not to look at it as a debate... It's technically not supposed to be a competition... even though it usually becomes one... but that's another story :Green ) Please kee…

Since you all will be using the new theme in the future, I want to see what you think about the profiles on the right. If you do not know what I am talking about, you are blind!!! Just Kidding, you probably are using the Subsilver2 theme. Themes can be changed in your UCP. When reading a topic the profiles are on the right side.

My hobbies are gardening, running, weightlifting, and mowing grass. These are my physical hobbies. My other intellectual hobbies are reading, especially about Bible Prophecy and the nearness of our Lord's return at the rapture of the church. I love studying the Bible, witnessing to the lost and to Christians (edification), and working with special needs people in school and in nursing homes! In closing, I Corinthians 10:31 says, "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." This verse will address most concerns of what is right, what is wrong, and what is questionable. :cool :cool :bonK:

This is NOT a poll on who you are voting for, but rather a poll to see who you think the American people will elected as the Presidential Candidate for the Republican party. Again, this is for a prediction and not a vote on who you want to win. I want to see how well you are at predictions. And no, no prize will go to the winner. :smile

How long are your services? I'm all for getting the message across, but when my pastor gives 10 real life stories, and the service runs so long my hinder hurts, as much as I want to be in church I realize I no longer listen because I'm more focused on how bad my back hurts from the silly wanna be cushioned seats. I also understand, I may get things right away, and others need it pounded into their head, but when you've been preaching over an hour on the same topic, all my mental resolve to listen is gone and I start thinking there is better ways to spend my time. Oh, if anyone wants to say how un-spiritual this is, please do so I can laugh given how I'm a front row, no…

I can't stand people with bad breath because good oral hygiene is one of my top priorities. I brush after every meal and floss at night for a good 20 minutes at least. How often do you brush? Love, Madeline

Thru out the last several months "Water Boarding" has come up quite often. I really did not know nothing about it, but today I read up on it. I posted a poll in my Air Force group to see what their opinion would be. I also sent an e-mail to a former POW who I met at our Air Force Base Reunion this past October. I feel Jim will reply and I really looking forward to his opinion Jim was the only one to survived, the B-52 he was on, it got hit by one Sam missile after which a 2nd one hit and his plane disintegrated, but some how Jim came out of it alive only to be captured and taken to Hanoi Hilton.. I was wondering what y'all think about it, so here it is. Moderator not…

Same as the Republican poll. This poll is not a vote for who you endorse, it is vote on who you think will win the nomination.

composting?
by DaveW- 0 replies

I nearly hijacked ZYG's thread on sustainable, but thought I should start a new one instead. I want to start composting and wondered about tips. Also anyone had anything to do with "the world's best compost" book and bits? I have looked at the website and probably will buy the book but does anyone know anything about it? (apart from the propaganda on the site )

Recently a friend invited me to join facebook, so I did. But I don't see what the big deal is about it. Are many people here members of it, and if so, what is the benefit of it?
