Have you ever walked into Walmart or another store and heard a song that was other than a Christian Hymn, and you started singing or humming along with it because you used to listen to that song? Well, count that problem solved! When your foot starts tapping the beat, start singing a well known hymn such as Amazing Grace, or Jesus Loves Me :sing:. It might not work the first few times you try, but you have to somehow tune those songs out in order to be seperate from the world. You could even try quoting a verse that you have memorized , or start praying :pray . If you ACTUALLY try, it will be easy.

My daughter invited me out on a father-daughter "date" last night. It ended up being my wife and father-in-law as well. It was the King's Heralds quartet........ They were a tremendous blessing, glad I was able to hear them praising the Lord. They did a version of the Lord's prayer that just made you look to the Lord and have shivers down your spine.

It is my belief that the wine He created was unfermented wine as though pressed fresh from the grapes. My brother-in-law's view is that Jesus created fine distilled wine. I know it's frowned upon to listen to any type of music that is contemporary in nature... but coming from a Charismatic background... I'm used to listening to music with a beat. However, I do not feel wordly or have worldly desires when I listen to praise and worship music, such as: "Shout to the Lord", "From The Inside Out", or "Awesome God" or any of those... Now I don't really enjoy the rock/rap movement within the Christian music industry... These songs do put me in membrance of Christ and His sacrifice and free gift of Salvation... and I give Him glory. Am I sinning since I do not feel convicted by listening to these songs?

Let me start with, yes, it may have already been discussed, but I'm a newbee and am going to ask anyway. I would like to hear some different perspectives on music for worship services including "specials" as they say. Let also say, I am not trying to start a huge debate or argument. I have heard it said that music should be limited to hymns and even with no piano all the way to Christian rock is suitable for specials. Now I don't think there is even a question when it comes to the "Christain rock", but what about milder forms of praise music or southern gospel? Any tasteful and respectful opinions on this. Yeppers... many of us have noticed how over the past 50+ years Tom Turkey has been pushed off the road by the fat man in the bright red suit, flying around with his eight tiny reindeer! LOL The over commercialization of Christmas has gotten way out of hand! My parents Western Wear Store would NEVER allow Thanksgiving to be bypassed. None of the decorations for Christmas at their store came out until BLACK FRIDAY. I'm thankful for that. 🤠 -

Have we fallen short in baptisms? And why are baptisms being used as a measure for how strong churches are? Many pastors have seen the futility and falseness of dunking people just for the numbers? They've come to the realization that people need to understand what baptism is, and in the true discipling of people first. In the days of Christ people understood the implications of being baptized into this new religion called Christianity. They could be kicked out of the synagogues, lose their livelihoods, and even their lives. That's exactly what Saul of Tarsus was doing before he had his encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus. -
