This thread has been started in response to members of this forum. I am personally humbled, but spiritually thrilled to have been requested to host such a thread discussion. Indeed, I have been burdened for some time to engage in a discussion here at Online Baptist concerning the matter of spiritual revival. Due to the direct request, I believe that now is the appropriate time to do so. Yet I certainly struggle with how to begin such a spiritually important matter for our lives in our time. Those that don’t have Sunday evening services, I blame the leaders and the members. The members were too lazy to come to the evening services, and the leaders finally gave up. Where I am attending they changed Wednesday night services, to Friday nights. You cannot really call this a midweek service for it’s already the weekend. After Covid, churches have changed much. -
We have an adult Bible study at 9.30am, main service at 10.15am, evening service at 6pm, prayer meeting Wednesday night. Evening service and prayer meeting are poorly attended, but as we have our own building it costs us nothing to have a service for 9 or 10 people. Only the morning service is well attended. The number of services and the times of those services are not important, but my personal view has always been that you should be in the house of the Lord as often as you can. I don't understand people who ask why they should be in every service..... my question to them is always "Why wouldn't you want to be in every service you can?" Psalms 122 1 A Song of degrees of David. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. (My annual post is now done! 😊)

My brother and sister in law live in Riverview FL, as are my niece and her husband. I talked to my brother this morning and he said the storm surge was really bad but that they are okay. My sister in Augusta Georgia called at 3AM and said they had sustained winds of 65 mph with gusts up to 95 mph. The power is out. My BIL is using his Police radio to keep track of what's going on. They had to have a lady my sister takes care of in their home as she was very fearful. A lot of damage in their area. We've had some flooding here. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you BT -

A realtor friend of mine was just given a diagnosis of terminal cancer. They've given him six months to a year to live. He's saved and is active in several different forms of ministry as he's able. He's just 3 days older than I am. We're both associated with the Cowboy Church movement. His son Harley was the one that I had requested prayer for last year after he was shot 5 times. This has come as a shock to many of us, and has probably hit a little closer to home for me as I have been given from 5-7 years because of my lungs. Please pray for Steve that he'll continue serving the Lord and not become discouraged. Thank you BT
