As long as we keep hearing from you, Jerry, that's all it matters. I hate seeing someone leave the board. It like someone had died to me. I was relieved to hear that you still be posting your devotional!

while you at it, maybe you have time to write children's devotional too. There aren't very many of them out there to choose from.

It's nice to just be one of the regular Joe's here. It is hard to be a Mod! :Bleh It was definitely a learning experience.

I think my month or so away from these boards gave me a new perspective. Sure, there are still a couple of posters I will probably never see eye to eye with - but I have learned to mellow out a bit in my posting. At least being a regular poster, I can still flag the posts that are objectionable for the Mods and Admins to see.

I found I couldn't stay away from these boards for too long - but the break helped me not be so consumed with the boards, and not get on any hobby horses. I still like the interaction (overall) with the Biblical issues - just not the controversy or arguing to prove a point (yes, debate to teach, but not to strain at gnats).

Sad, for sure because:

Jerry stood when many moderators would stay seated.

Jerry would take control.

I will not hesitate to say, even though I have disagreed with Jerry on some doctrinal issues in our topics, Brother Jerry was the best moderator on this board.

I think it was a good move for Jerry though. Jerry seems to be much more relaxed now and still able to offer great insights in his postings.

Thanks for the support, guys. I like it better not having the pressure to make sure the boards are running smoothly - helping out when I can, but not overseeing the board. I was also an Admin/Mod on two other boards, so it was a lot of work that took up much of my time and energy. I spend a lot of time there too. The boards are not as active, but they are great.
