It is with sad heart that I announce that Pastor Mike Reed, aka Ukulele Mike, has gone to be with the Lord in October of 2021. I have no details concerning his passing. I was alerted to it by another forum member, who saw an announcement online.

Mike was my friend, a moderator on this forum and a faithful pastor for many years in the small California town of Herlong. Bro Mike was faithful to his calling and his Lord, persevering through hardship in the forms of a very small congregation of 6-10 people, with no financial support for many years. He also performed the duties of a forum moderator admirably and with a Christ like spirit.

Mike will be missed , but I also rejoice in the knowledge that we will meet again in Glory.

Just for member info, for those who didn't know, his wife (whisperingsage) was also a member of the forum and she preceded him to Glory.

I was just thinking about him the other day and came here looking around to see if had posted recently.  No more pain and suffering and yes we'll see him again in Glory!

Yes, thank you for posting this. Whisperingsage talked with my wife for a long time on the phone, was able to properly diagnose a problem the doctors had been missing for over a decade. They were both a blessing.
