    • The picture cropped at the top is of or by someone who was publicly anti-christ, and unrepentent when they died, according to online sources available searching for a while.   I left 3 messages for the site owner source of that link, I think.  Their testimony is that they (the source) were saved Baptist, then went through other churches, most not alive they said, then to a 'good' resting? place church where they are now. It is difficult to communicate the connections and time frame/ word press/ etc so some points may be different than posted here. ....   Why does anyone ever do good works ?   I did not see this answered on this forum nor at the source of the article.   It "remains .... to answer" .
    • I know I'm not a pastor, but...my hubs attends the annual church planting conference at the church that founded ours (I go with him, too, for most of the services). At one of them we learned of the independent Baptist fellowship here in WA (there are more good churches in WA than we ever knew). Anyway, they usually meet monthly for a couple of days of preaching. He's not gone to any yet, but now that he's not working another job he might be able to. I'm glad for him, because the fellowship and the preaching will be beneficial.
    • Sorry bout that,  I thought it was KJV - on purpose I choose KJV each time.  ================================================= As Jesus Says Instead:  Do not judge by what you can (physically) (read) see and hear, rather Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment. Jesus is saying we can "judge" only do it correctly, not by what you see or hear but by the Word of truth.  (The Father's Righteous Judgment, lacking in babylon)   Isaiah 11:3 King James Version 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: https://biblehub.com/kjv/isaiah/11-4.htm   Verse  (Click for Chapter) King James Bible But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. • Jeff, the board rules state that if you quote or post Scripture, you do it from the KJV. What you posted from the Berean Study Bible is not KJV.
    • Short Excerpts of her letter known worldwide for decades: (This is from a letter Corrie wrote in 1974) "The world is deathly ill.  It is dying.  The Great Physician has already signed the death certificate.  Yet there is still a great work for Christians to do.  They are to be streams of living water, channels of mercy to those who are still in the world.  It is possible for them to do this because they are overcomers. ======= "Like King David Corrie testifies of the wonderful presence of God in times of trial and testing. He prepares a table before us in the presence of our enemies. The bread and the wine of the Eternal Covenant is presented there on the table before us. A true bride is more than just a passive purchased concubine. She is vitally involved in the covenant issues of her Family, the Covenant People of the God of Israel. A true bride will not balk at the bridal witness. She will sign on with her Bridegroom and stand as witness to Him, come what may. " ======== "...She exhorts us to prepare ourselves spiritually in Christ, in His Holy Word, and by His Holy Spirit for the coming trials of our faith. She tells of the Chinese Church in a former time being misinformed, unwarned, and ill-prepared for he persecutions that began in 1949 under Mao Tse Tung's Red Guards. In this letter Corrie warns that Christians in the West today are in danger ..." ======== http://endtimepilgrim.org/corrie.htm
