Thank you for the birthday wishes. I had a good day. And, yes, 2bLikeJesus, I am old enough...have been for a number of years. I am now officially a senior citizen. :o  Discounts, yay!  :clap::D

​I knew someone who said, "I ain't telling my age for just 10% off." Some place are now 5%, some only one day a week, some have no discount.

That's starting to happen with military discounts, too.

what discounts.. that ended when i turned 55

​They are fewer and harder to find around here than they used to be. It also differs from place to place as to what age one can begin getting the discount. Many places that still do discounts used to give them starting at age 55 but now it's not until 60. Most of the discounts used to be decent but today most are very small.

Many of the local schools used to let anyone 55 and over in to games for free but depending upon the school its now either 60 or 65 or there is no discount.

I'm not really that concerned about the discounts. But if I go places that offer them - no matter the amount - I will definitely use them!

There are still a number of places that offer discounts at 55. I have a list but not with me. I know many have moved the age to 60 and I can't blame them. Most people 55 are still working. The discount came about originally to help those on social security. AARP helped move the age down for its members. But I will never join AARP.

Anyway, thanks for the birthday  wishes.:D
