What do you think about doctors who receive pay from drug companies? That is what this article is about. I fear that it might influence, cloud their judgment, on what drug they may or may not prescribe to me. I just feel many doctors would prescribe the drug that they would get them a kick back from instead of the one which might be best for me. I do know that a doctor I use to go to would get an all expense paid vacation every year from one drug company. This company would not do this unless this doctor was making them money. Doctors

Does anyone here have or play a mountain dulcimer? I was just curious. It is one of the things I have that I do for relaxation. Me and my son playing dulcimer while a friends little boy watches.

Size of your church 1 2 3
by ltl- 34 replies

How big is your church? I've noticed most of the time, when secular and church groups do their "weekly church attendance stats", they've left out us IFBs. (Which can also be a good thing). All in all remember it's not the size that counts, it's the FAITHFULNESS of a local church that counts and will make God pleased.

Early this week the bottom of my dress shoe started to rip off. I had superglued it back but the glue I used was week and it cam loose again. Then it ripped even more. So my parents and I were hoping my shoe would last till pay day (tomorrow). Yesterday at school I walked past the pastor of the church and I saw him look at my shoe. So I tried to hurry past him before he could ask. He decided to follow me. He walked into the room I was in and asked what size my shoe was. I told him and he walked out. I thought at first he had a pair that he did not like in his office that he was going to give me. I really did not want anything though. Today I hadn't seen him all day, till …

I don't have a garden except strawberries, but for some reason, I really enjoy looking at pictures of each members' garden, and I learn from it too. Please post your fruits, veggies, or flower garden (or your favorite plant if you don't have a garden) pictures here!

How would you describe your family? (Mostly parents/kids, maybe some grandparents and aunts/uncles...whoever you consider fairly immedate). I put you can vote up to two options because you may have different situations... I voted "Semi close" for my sister and brother who we chat via phone or web several times per week, and "Get along" for my parents and grandparents because we occasionally email and VERY occasionally call but somehow there just isn't a huge communication line there. I wish we were closer but its just how my family is I guess. We are all long distance. That does not count my inlaws....my husband stays in contact with them.

A fellow classmate is having a 60th birthday party for our class. On the invitation it says, we will have everyone's favorite drink. A fellow classmate asked me if I was going. I said that I probably would not be there, and went on to say I did not care to set around and talk with people who are drinking beer or such. Not many months back this classmate fled from the police in his car, he was drinking, to his house, ran into his house and locked the doors. The classmate who asked me them asked if I was still pastor at Pleasant Valley, I said yes. He them said, "Well Bro. Jerry, I can see why you would not want to be there and I respect that, but probably others …

I love Old Navy end of season sales when everything winter goes down to 75% off. I got a fleece pull-over jacket for $7, a fleece blanket for $4, and a fleece skull cap and scarf both for $1.50. I'm addicted to fleece I think. I now have 5 fleece jackets. hehe But anyway, the hang out is for chit chat so I thought I would tell you all about how great Old Navy is. :D

A few months ago the Mods and I were discussing the young adults (Not you Chev ) and the teens on Online Baptist. Having worked with teens for many years (before I went into Evangelism) gave me a burden for them. After praying about the situation, The Mods and I came to a conclusion that Samer would be great at filling that role on Online Baptist. Samer is the new Mod for the teen forum, but watch out because he will have power in all forums. The future for the teen forum: 1) It will be changing from a teen forum to Teens and Young Adults. 2) The teens will have a few forums to start with. I plan on adding sub forums soon, so that in the future all the teen/yo…

Well, we made it. Online Baptist turns 5 on Friday, Feb. 9th. To honor Online Baptist's birthday we are doing a major update of our software on Friday and Saturday. This update is going to be a long process for me, but we should be back online by Saturday. The boards will be down during this process so I will set up a temp board for the day. God has been so good to us here. 5 years ago when we took over from Y-I-B, I never thought we would be what we are now. He have had our ups and down, but we always have given God the glory. We have many new and exciting things planned for Online Baptist. We plan on rewarding our community for all that you have done with some …

Our church has 2 (sometimes 3) bus routes. I was just wondering how common bus ministries are.
