My dad is now working as a manager for a gas station. He found out that if a product (candy bars, for instance) has gone past their expiration date even by 1 day, they are to throw it out. My dad asked is boss if he could take them and give them to our bus ministry director to use as treats for bus kids. He said that sounded like a good idea. Dad came the next day with about 5 full boxes of candy bars to pass out to the kids. Oh, these were KING size candy bars.

I do nOT like the current administration, but this pastor is nOT doing God's will right now. He is supposed to be praying for Obama yes, but nOT for his death and hell. He is supposed to be praying that God gets a hold of his heart. This man is making anyone else serving the Lord and conservative look bad. He lost his testimony in my eyes. It does nOT show his whole sermon though. Maybe something taken out of context? To much hate. There is enough in this world without it getting to us..... The following has been cut and pasted from FOX NEWS today: A Phoenix-area pastor has started to draw prOTesters to his congregation after he delivered a sermon titled, "…

Please, no hearsay. Have you seen this elective murder option in the versions under debate by congress or the senate? Here is an AP article: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jE8oH07rubGHV6lmgcgIGJFdUdkAD99SLQBG0 "Health care legislation before Congress would allow a new government-sponsored insurance plan to cover abortions..." If you have seen the legislation in print please provide the link where it's text can be viewed/copied/pasted into letters to representatives and senators. I don't want them saying they never saw it if it passes through. I want to put it before their face and tell them I strongly oppose it.

Ok, let us praise God for something. I know we all praise God for our salvation, what else can you praise God for today? I praise the Lord for giving my family and I safe traveling to our meetings. God has also met every need we have had while we are on the road. Who else will join me in praising God for something.

The question is what type of toothpaste do you use, paste or gel, and what brand is it? I was brushing my teeth and the thought occured to me that I was using one brand of toothpaste out of literally hundreds so I thought it would be interesting to find out what brands others use. Who knows maybe we can declare the most popular toothpaste brand among Online Baptist members when we are through!:icon_biggrin:

I like drawing a lot. Here are a few pics: :) These are characters from a Role Play I did on another forum: This was just me teaching my sis to draw: This was me just trying to acheive a certain effect: This is me as a cat, my mom agreed that it actually looks like me, nobody else did: I drew this pic to reflect the mood I was in at the time, except for the rose, I added that later: And thi…

I got the book from our church library. It is can't put down reading. Even though it was published by the National Geographic Society, it is full of Biblical information and pictures from Genesis to Revelation. I love books about archeology anyway but this one is just fascinating. I was impressed that it is written from a Biblical standpoint. The book also goes in chronological order. Very interesting stuff!!!!!!

[From another thread] Where do we read that infants are given a "special grace," and all of them go to heaven if they die as a child? I have heard/believed this, but isn't it sort of reading between the lines? In the O.T. they were told to wipe out entire families of those that had sinned (Achan for example). Some say this is because they are going to be brought up in heathensim and "follow in their parents footsteps" (the "sins of the father"...). I wonder why the children were not allowed to enter the ark (Noah's ark) which is a picture of salvation?

I have internet radio software and find it very useful for tuning into Christian radio sites anywhere in the world. I currently have WSSC-FBN and First Baptist Hammond sites I listen to. Does anyone know of any other Fundamental Baptist radio sites on the internet and could you point me in their direction? I would especially appreciate any sites that mostly broadcast good IFB type preaching. Thank you, I appreciate it.

Just wanted to let you all know that I appreciate each and every one of you. I may not agree with all opinions and all points of view but I sure enjoy the thought and discussion. Hope you all had a good Sunday and I pray that we all have a good week in Christ.

In another thread we were discussing church involvement within the local community and such and touches on that but it's separate enough I'm starting a new thread. Our pastor has a letter to the editor in the local paper addressing the fact the churches, community and schools used to work together in coordinating events with regards to schedualing. However, that's no longer the case. A few years ago Wednesday nights were no longer left open by the schools so the churches could have that time. Practices and games began being held on Wednesday nights. Now even Sundays are no longer left open for the churches. The schools are schedualing tournaments and other events, ev…

My Grandmother is planning her funeral and wants me and my brothers to sing "Beyond The Sunset" - any clue where I can find sheet music online? Also, she wants a poem read, but I only know the first line - If I go first before you do. Anyone know this poem, or where to find it? Edit - I found the poem, the first line starts "Should you go first" not "If I go first."

Another tool of Satan; what do we know about the ACLU? Here is the first ammendment: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. The ACLU's order of importance: The ACLU is our nation's guardian of liberty, working daily in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in this country. These rights include: Your First Am…

An athiest group has started an "animal care" service for Christians who want their pets cared for after the Rapture. For 110 dollars they will care for your pet if you are Raptured within 10 years of paying for the service. So, how many of you are interested in paying 110 dollars so athiests will care for your pets after you fly to the sky?

The one thing that we always hear about IFB's is that we do not write much. While I believe that is true, I do believe that we do have some out there that does not get enough publicity. We would like to help generate more traffic to you. If you have a website where you write your own articles, and you have an RSS feed, we would like to auto-publish them here on Online Baptist. The feeds will be similar to the Way of Life one we have set up here. If you are interested, or if you know someone who would be interested, let me know or pass this information on. Thank you. BroMatt

One interesting feature of the new forum is that it tells you how long you have been online. I do not know if the figure means for all time, or just since the switch. According to my profile (just click on your username somewhere in a thread to see yours) I've spent 15 Hours, 21 Minutes and 18 Seconds glued to the goggle box. Also, I've noticed I have now gruaduated to 'posting freak', even though I only send 0.65 posts per day!? What are your stats? Carl

The question is how many times in a day do you lie. Include white lies, partial truths, rationalizations, ect.
