Happy Valentine's Day to all. What a difference a year makes! Today the sun is shining brightly. Last year we were having a "snowmageddon," as it has been dubbed. This time last year (Val. Day was on Thursday), my husband had gotten home early from his client's house because he had a slip-and-fall on black ice. Thus began a journey of healing that isn't done yet. Randy is better - much, much better - although he still has a ways to go to complete healing. The rip in his thigh muscle healed well, and the hematoma should be mostly, if not completely, drained (his doc said it was the biggest hematoma that he had ever seen and that it would take, at minimum, a year …

My church has been blessed lately with visits from missionaries that we support. Where we are, it is unusual for people to stop by - Perth is not really on the way anywhere, so you really have to be going TO Perth. And that is Expensive! As a result we don't get visits from missionaries very often. So far this year - yes 2018 - we have had two missionaries able to spend time with us. What a blessing it is to be able to look after these people!!!!

Just wanted to praise God for finding this site one thing I love about KJVO is if it in the Bible I don't have to worry about them telling me it not in my Bible. l really hate when discussing a verse like I John 5:7 about the Blessed Trinity knowing if they have a NIV or NASB I have to more than likely argue for a majority of that verse that has been remove from their versions.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I recently found out that my blood pressure was dangerously high. I don't remember the exact numbers, but it was something like 175/105. I attributed it to being anxious about going to the doctor, because I hate going to doctors. However, I checked it myself about a week later, and it was still in that same range. As I also mentioned, I completely changed my diet and started walking about two weeks ago. I've noticed a change in several different areas since I started this...good changes. Last night, I decided that I would check my blood pressure for the first time since I made the diet and exercise changes two weeks ago. I didn't reall…

What joy! Three of our grandsons were saved today! The two oldest boys (15 and 17 yrs old) are both special needs boys, and that just goes to show how powerful God's love and His truths are and how they can pierce through and not be hindered by those special needs! The youngest is almost 12 yrs old and he was the first of the three to ask the Saviour to save him. "Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth" (Luke 15:7). What glorious answers to this grandma's countless prayers! I'm rejoicing with tears of praise, and ever grateful in prayer! Yes, praise God from Whom all blessings flow! I can't he…

The Impossible Love of The God of All Creation Now, while I was in college, I had two Christian friends, a couple, whose faith I became interested in. So, I decided to ask them how to understand Christianity. They told me to read the Bible starting with the Gospels and pray, and I would see that a Christian life would grow on me as it had for them. I also asked them for something philosophical to read that summed up Christianity and they gave me the book Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Now, I did pray, but I found that in my heart I believed God existed to me, but in my mind He did not. This meant that my prayers felt both conflicted and pointless. I also trie…

I praise the Lord, the God of the Old Testament and the New, that He is leading me into His truth! It seems he has erased all the damage I did to myself by being a Moderate, Charismatic Christian for twelve years. I praise Him for leading me right and reversing my folly in this last year and change, since becoming a Believer. After so many years lost in sin and heading to hell when I died, He has saved me and I will prove true in my faith.

Thanks to those who prayed for me, and gave to me to go to Uganda last summer. For those who saw my video update, I mentioned a man named Fanuel, I had gotten to go and share the Gospel with him at his hut and he got saved, then proceeded to come to our meetings that same evening and gave a public testimony of salvation: Here is a picture of him from the day he got saved in summer of 2016. Then I received another picture from my friend over in Uganda of this second picture, which was him at the Church today, one year later, attending soul winning training! Praise God

Even if it was just two, it was all worth it. Their eternal destiny is now forever changed. Praise GOD He saved their souls. I helped invite people to VBS, but I don't know how many children actually came.

So often, we are wrapped up in our life of ease without realizing all that the Lord blesses us with...even the most minute details of our daily lives. As I ponder this, I realize all that the Lord has done for me. No, my family is not "well-off" and enjoy the temporal comforts that money can bring. We struggle day-to-day...often wondering how ends will meet. Still, the Lord has proven himself strong on our behalf through all of these years. As I look at our present circumstances, I realize the great responsibility that has been granted and placed upon me...as a husband, a father, a man, and a man of God. It's times like these that sort the wheat from the chaff in sec…

I was taking my dog on a walk today around the neighborhood, and I saw two old friends of mine having a bar-b-q at one of there houses. I stopped by for a visit and when one of them asked me how I had been I told him I was well " Just working a lot, and going to church." He was very interested that I said that and I got to share the gospel with him and praise God I even had a booklet in my pocket that had the Gospel of John and the book of Romans. It has underlined verses in it and in the back has a "How to receive Christ" section. I read to him John 3:16,17 and just kind of talked to him about what he already believed and shared with him what the Bible says the gave him…

About a year ago, we had a period in our church that lasted for several weeks during which I feel safe in saying that my church experienced revival. We had a number of people saved, we had several people join the church, and had quite a few services that saw the altars full. A revival meeting was part of that, but in reality, the movement of the Spirit that we experienced began a couple of weeks before the "official" meeting, and lasted for a few weeks beyond that. Despite the fact that the revival meeting was a key part of what happened, I'd say that a message that my pastor preached entitled "Jesus Is Precious" was the most enduring sermon of that period. The week he pr…

My God answers prayer. He provides all my needs. And at His will he surprises me with wants which I have not asked Him for yet. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.--Psalm 86:12

It is such a wonderful blessing to hear or read the testimonies of others! It's such a joy to see our God working in the lives of others. There's a lot of dialogue about doctrine...which can be very illuminating, and there are lots of salvation testimonies too...which is such a delightful thing to rejoice in! One thing that I truly miss though, is the sharing and testifying about the "relationship" different ones have with the Lord now. I'm not referring to our position in Christ being accepted in the beloved, and I'm not speaking of the knowledge and understanding we have of scriptural matters. Just as we have a relationship with loved ones on this earth, we also ha…

Saved And I Know It My grandma on my mom's side used to take my sisters and me to Sunday School and also to VBS during the summers. Those were very pertinent times, and the influences from them paved the way to my salvation. In later years, Dad and Mom started attending church and in time actually became quite actively involved. Dad used to smoke (as did my grandpa), and he also used to consume alcohol and sell it in their little store. That came to an end when some of the church leaders went to him and more or less taught him that he ought not to be selling it if he was a Christian. At Easter time when I was about 7 years old, a movie was going to be sh…

we went out to the family cabin for two weeks for Christmas/New Year's. Hubby saves his leave time so we can take two weeks and he and our son make an attempt at trapping. This year they didn't do so well. The baits and lures were old (we couldn't afford to get new this year) the weather was great (60's & 70's the first week and a half) and they pinched several things but nothing was in the traps. We figure we may need to replace springs, most of these traps are probably 30-40 years old and nothing has ever been replaced. Not sure what to get for the Northwoods traps since they are no longer manufactured.... As you can see from the photo of the tree our back door…

Some people keep the ashes of their cremated relatives or pets, but life is not found in ashes, life is found in Jesus Christ, the source of all life. Everything that we cling to will eventually become dust.Genesis 3:19 KJV[19] In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art , and unto dust shalt thou return.Ecclesiastes 3:18-20 KJV[18] I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. [19] For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one die…

I've been praying today and thinking about how Jesus said we cannot be his disciple unless we we hate our own lives, we are to love Jesus so much that we are to hate our own lives we are to absolutely surrender everything to the Lord Jesus because it is he who has died on the cross for our sins when he has made such a great sacrifice for us and been so good to us how can we dare hold back any part of our life we try to fool ourselves by thinking that if we serve God partly that he's happy with us not knowing that he can't even look on one sin, why do we not go all the way there is no other option we must go all the way to Please the father. There's a song we sing in churc…

My son in law was the speaker at our bible study yesterday evening. He told us that his daughter Rachel who is studying in Paris, arranged to meet a number of friends in a restaurant which was the subject of one of the attacks. On the evening in question Rachel was unable to go due to having to work late. Some of the other friends also had to work late and some were not well. Only one of them was able to go and when the firing started he hid at the back and was safe. Praise the Lord.

In November there is an important date in our family. It is November 10, the Marine Corps birthday. Hubby is a Marine. He started his military career (though he hates that word) in the Marines in 1985. The Marines did a great deal in shaping him. He had grown up without a father, had to work a huge garden as his single, widowed mother worked long hours in a factory to support her two little boys (born 18 months a part). He grew up in the wilds of PA, close to the Poconos. He enjoyed hunting, helping put food on the table, and eventually went into trapping which he did very well at. But until he joined the Marines he didn't have a lot of purpose. He was in the Cor…
