    Bad temperament

So I have a gentleman (and I use the term loosely) who like to poke the bear. He knew I did my best at work Monday but I had vendors and supervisors in my way at work. Something the other employee did not have to work around the day before but I did. I don't know the other guy maybe better than me but after I did my best and this person tells the other guy he needs to train me. Will let's just say I blew up and told him to go to hell. I can easily justified that he had it coming; but were does that leave me when I go to the Father in prayer for the mercy and grace in my life thru Christ, Matthew 6:14-15. Please pray for me in this situation; especially since it so unlike Jesus to tell someone to go to hell.

Does 1 Corinthians 13:8-12 teach the sign gifts have ceased?

While I will agree that many of the gifts have cease. And the Rhema / Written Word of God is perfect our understanding is still blurry on the Bible. Whereas when we see the writer of Hebrews view on Jesus Christ and His First Coming compare to His Second it is most interesting. So Christ was offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Hebrews 9:28 So we see Jesus was yes perfect but at His First Coming He took my and everyone else sins upon Him. Of course because He bear our sins He had our sins (not His own). Yet when He comes the second time He comes without ours sins so that He is Perfect. John tells us when Jesus appears again we will be like Him for we will see as He is, I John 3:1-2. Paul states of this time as when our vile bodies will be change like His glorious body, Philippians 3:20-21.
  3. Just wanted to praise God for finding this site one thing I love about KJVO is if it in the Bible I don't have to worry about them telling me it not in my Bible. l really hate when discussing a verse like I John 5:7 about the Blessed Trinity knowing if they have a NIV or NASB I have to more than likely argue for a majority of that verse that has been remove from their versions.

    Only Begotten Son of God?

So i am pretty sure it is from my upbringing in the Baptist faith but just in case your thought on Jesus the Only Begotten Son of God; would be helpful. My understanding is Jesus became the Only Begotten Son at His First Coming. But I know many believe Jesus has been the Son before time began; eternal Sonship which I find to be beyond my understanding. Apreciate any thoughts.

    Hello from Minnesota

Hello to all in the forum, my name is James from Minnesota. I consider myself IFB and as my username suggest love my Textus Receptus and the KJV, while some would call me a KJVO i am not but definitely am TRO. But used the KJV majority of the time really also like my Webster Bible but it is use by very few but also very fond the NKJV. If anyone read my first post in a threat about who were the sons of God in Genesis 6; i am sure your thinking he can't be IFB. But i am and with that acception and my end time belief I fully agree with IFB.

Who are the “sons of God” in Genesis 6?

Being my first post I apologize as I will have to rock the boat. Yes much of what is taught on angels marrying women is from the Book of Enoch but let us not just think there is no scripture to support it. Before I go any further I must admit when I first learn of this teaching it appalled me; I think it was my IFB upbringing. The most famous argument I know of the sons of God can't be angels is: For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor or given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:30 So case closed right this passage but it all to rest................................ .......................................................... Unless the Bible gives some explanation that doesn't contradict these words of Jesus. And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, He hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 6 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness reserved unto judgment; II Peter 2:4 So we can see from Jude these angels change their first estate. For God made them spiritual beings yet they decided to become flesh and also left heaven for earth. We also see Peter speaking of this event. Peter even connect their sin to Noah's time just read II Peter 2:5. Other passages like Daniel 2:43 and I Corinthians 11:10 could also be making reference to this incursion and even others after it. Now this in no way proves it happen but hopefully helps others to realize why people like me believe it did. But it really nothing more than an interesting topic to discuss. For if believe the sons of God were of Seth or rather angels no big wow. But if you don't believe Jesus is very Only Begotten Son of God who redeem us all, you will join these angel that Jude and Peter spoke of.
