We got back from our trip Monday night, but I just uploaded the pics, so here are a few.

He's at AIT now, hopefully will be home in early November. Then it will be on to other schools...
I miss him, but am very proud of him.

We had a good time with him. The Family Day demonstration was really nice. All of the soldiers (unbeknownst to most of us) were across the field in the woods. When the speeches were done, all of a sudden different colored smoke bombs were being thrown out of the woods. When there was a huge smoke screen, all of the sudden we saw the colors coming through the smoke, followed by 6 companies of soldiers - 930 of them. It was something to see!

We got to spend the rest of that day (Thursday) with him, but we had to stay on base. After graduation the next day (that was something, seeing all those soldiers in their dress uniforms, sans jackets!) he got to come with us for the night. We had a good time with him, just talking and being together. We had to bring him back to the base by 5 a.m. Saturday, so we left, heading for Ohio, after we dropped him off.
