Hey how did some of you vote Baldwin or write in? The way ours was' date=' you could only push buttons for candidates available. Its a good thing God didn't tell me to vote Baldwin or write in, or I would have had to disobey. LOL. Because neither was an option where I voted![/quote']

Baldwin was listed on our VA ballot.. but there was a LOOOONNNGGG list of other candidates running for president I never heard of.

We had electronic ballots, you push buttons beside the available candidates, and then we had one yes/no local vote.

We had two third party tickets to choose from but no Baldwin.

We had the "old fashioned" paper ballots in Cuyahoga County---they got the other ballots messed up in the primaries. These ballots were 2 pages long---front and back...so a total of 4 pages.

We had basically EVERYONE (exaggeration) on the ballot. My MIL and I talked today and she said..."could you believe all the candidates for POTUS?" They had 2 women on their running for the "Socialist Party." LOL.

Is that a good thing? :frog

Yeah...it really is. My parents were always right---even though I defied them. I was a young idiot. :bonK:

They sound like wonderful Christians, you were blessed...my parents were not saved.

Oh...I should clarify. My dad was not saved, to my knowledge, that is. I grew up in the RCC. Although, I know he would have made a great Baptist. He didn't adhere to all the man made rules in the RCC. So, he was a bad Catholic. LOL. My mom says she is saved (2006)...but, that is questionable. My dad was a good, moral man...and, my mom always stood right along side him---though thick and thin.

I grew up with the good moral values in the RCC but without salvation. My whole family just went through the motions of the RCC except for the 2 priests and the 1 nun. My dad's mom was the RCC nut. The Rosary beds and all. That is what is so disturbing about the Roman Catholic Religion to me. They are great people living in a huge lie. Many know it is not right, but for fear of family and rejection...they will wither the storm and stay in...just to keep the peace.

Unlike me...I am the "Rebel with My Cause For Jesus Christ."

Alot of Montana Freemen voting for Paul....HEY I thought Paul dropped out???

He did, but some parties still put him as their nominee and a lot of people wrote him in as well. I bet he's the most popular candidate who's not running (that should be sending a message, IMO).

Louisiana had a lot of voters for him too.

NBC just declared Obama the winner. My oldest son is watching with me and he said, "Did the Capitalism guy win or the Communism guy?"

:sad

(He's been studying the differences in History.)

Never fear, the sun will still come up tomorrow and God's love will still surround us and fill our hearts.

Thanks; I'm not afraid. I just felt sad for my son. He asked me, "Did he [Obama] make any promises [regarding Communist ideals]?" I said, "Yes; he promised to take money away from people who earned it and give it to people who didn't earn it." He said, "So why would people vote for him?"

If only life was as simple as the way a child thinks.

Yeah...I had to get up for awhile b/c Cleveland, OH was out of control on the TV. Hooping and Hollering.

Hey...does anyone know of a country (3rd World---doesn't matter) that is ripe for the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

Everything is still quiet here. :lol
Don't have to worry about another presidential election here for another 4 years, and there's a conservative in office now. Still not sure whether it's a good or bad thing, though. :frog

No surprise anyway. I've been saying for the past 2 years a Dem would win. The people were tired of Bush and tired of the way the Repubs had been running things. That's why the Dems gained congress 2 years ago and why they gained more in congress now plus the presidency.

Praise God for He is in control!
