84 degrees and a nice steady rain for a while.

We just now dropped into the low 90s. It was a very hot and muggy day today. It was so hot I didn't even roll the windows up and lock the doors when we stopped at places today taking care of things in another town.

I mowed my front lawn on Tuesday. It needs cutting again already.

I finished up a bit of mowing this morning, getting to hot yesterday left me weak, but I finished it.

Record high of 111 degrees for Little Rock


LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Little Rock has reached its third-highest temperature ever recorded, hitting 111 at mid-afternoon.

Throughout the state Monday, temperatures exceeded 100, and low humidity increased the threat for wildfires. Temperatures are expected to reach triple digits at least through the middle of the week.

The 111-degree mark reached Monday at Little Rock broke the previous record for the day of 108, set in 1986.

Not sure what the temperature was this morning but it was sunny and hot in the car when I took my wife shopping so I left the windows slightly open for ventilation, when we came out the supermarket it was pouring with rain and the seats were wet. So no lawn mowing today.

When in Thanet, I saw a field of maize, which isn't grown much here. It looked to be healthy.
