While I'm not sure of my exact favorite, Romans is certainly one of them. :wink
God bless,

I like when Jesus said...

Luk 11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

Much of the wisdom of Solomon can be found in proverbs, song of solomon, ecclesiastes and a few psalms but none compare to the magnificant words of Jesus Christ Himself. I love everything He says :)

Wow! I have so many "favorite books" of the Bible. In the OT...Ruth and Daniel. In the NT...Romans, Hebrews, and James.

Of course, this is bound to change. :wink

LOL...I know. I just couldn't resist...Alimantado. :smile

Alright, then. :-) Romans is my favorite book of the Bible. My favorite verse (or---life verse) is:

Romans 1:16...For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. "God's Righteous Judgment" KJV 1611 AV.

Cool. I'm not sure I've read enough to have a favourite book. Genesis, Exodus, a couple of minor prophets then John, Matthew and Mark is all. My favourite verse: "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise." Or, if I was to cheat and list two: "The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner."

I like all of them, of course there are a few books who are really high in my preferences, but I cannot pick. I'll probably do it after I read the whole Bible.

My favorite book of the Bible is probably Romans. Because it deals with so much Bible doctrine,Sinfulness of the Jew and the Gentile, the atonement of Christ, propitiation, substitution, Justification, sanctification, and ect. The theme of Romans is the righteousness of God.

A second favorite would be the book of Hebrews. It deals much with the nature of Christ, that He is better than anyone else.

A third favorite would be the Psalms.

God Bless
John
