    • Yes, I do. There is still time for us to repent and turn to the Lord.

    • No, I don't. We're too far-gone.

    • I'm praying that it will, and trying to live for the Lord like I should.

    • If it does, I'm praying that God might use me to start it.

This is a rather strange question, but I am honestly curious to hear your thoughts. :smile

I don't think it is a strange question at all. We should be praying and working towards this every day. The sad part is, many christians would rather sit around the house and complain about how terrible things are and gossip about people and the politicians and decisions they make than to get out into the fields and harvest. (see, there I am, complaining about christians) :Bleh

I guess I'm the negative one and said "No". Plus, the Bible doesn't seem to indicate any major revivals in the end times, which I believe we are in.

However that shouldn't stop us from having personal or church revival. :smile

I agree. We know that persecution purifies the church and that is happening all over the world. With Obama in the new administration we may see hard times with persecution. I believe there will be individual revivals in some churches but nothing wide-sweeping as we heard about in the 1700s and 1800s.

Probably the only religious type revivals that will be of any size will come from the false teachers of this world, it seem they can attract people much like honey attracts flies.

Nah, I said "no", too, but I still think we should pray for revival and live right ourselves....and I think we are in the end times, as well. The world has gotten MUCH worse just since my daughters were born about 15-16 yrs ago. It seems that not only has the world gotten much worse but that the degree to which it is deteriorating is accelerating, too! :sad

I'm a "No" vote. Yes, I pray for revival and would like to be used by God to start or aid one. I believe we are in the last days and we're seeing a great falling away...occurring now...before our eyes.

John 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

I agree with matie-k that there is a hint of a move of God on quite a grand scale if you look in the right places. I know the Lord has certainly worked in the lives of my wife and I over the past year or two in such a great way that I would describe it as our having been truly, Biblically revived!

However, it is my opinion that the majority of revival that ever has happened or will happen is based solely upon one person or a small group individuals. What we commonly refer to as a "revival of yesteryear" (e.g. Wales, Isle of Louis, Great Awakenings, etc...)is generally not a massive widespread revival, in a Biblical sense, but it is salvation and repentance due to a small handful of folks being revived. :2cents

I believe revival is entirely possible. It is the attitude of "it cant happen" that prompts us christians to sit around and do nothing!

I have to agree with Marcus here.

Yes I believe it ill happen. I don't think that the entire nation will be apart of the revival. I have seen so many people who are turning away from their lives and trying to live as completely biblical as possible. I pray that a revival happens and it affects a vast amount of hearts.

No more for America. She has rejected the word of God. In fact, most Christians don't even know where it is anymore.

The next revival will be with the 144,000 during the tribulation.

I do believe a great deal of persecution of Christians is coming to America. Oftentimes persecution brings about a measure of revival.

There isn't a "one size fits all" revival. The term is used to convey different meanings. It's possible the Lord will send revival in a manner and time in which we least expect.
