2 Corinthians 6:14 (KJV) 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:15 (KJV) 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 2 Corinthians 6:16 (KJV) 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV) 17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]…

Not long ago I found an IBC online that was near my home which I wrote about it here before. I went to their church a few times and it was amazing. However it wasn't amazing enough to pull me out of my Mormon faith. It's easy for people to say just leave the church because it's complicated. It's hard because you are so tightly tied in to everything with the church. If you leave it's like you've lost your entire family. I suppose no one hear would completely understand and that's OK. So they a anniversary celebration recently and he kept reaching out asking if I would commit to coming. I really did want to go but my I didn't. I have chronic physical pain and I didn't go. N…

What's going on? We see some souls saved here, some saved there, that's wonderful!....but why nothing near like what happened in the Walsh Revival or the Great Awakening? When is the last time a community was turned upside down because of the increase of holiness pushing out ungodliness from it's positions of control? When have the bars been shut down and the jails emptied due to people getting right with God and having more influence in their community than the devil has? I attend a great soul-winning church almost overflowing with brothers and sisters who love the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly, with a great pastor and many wonderful testimonies of believers wh…

I'm not looking for a debate on the matter, I'm looking for some information. I recently read that about 70% of churches teach a Replacement Theology; that God has replaced Israel with the church and thus Israel is irrelevant to an extent since all the promises to Israel now belong to the church (believers, body of Christ, whatever term a person prefers...don't need a debate on that either). Anyway, I'm hoping folks here can tell me, or list the various churches and/or denominations which hold to Replacement Theology. Also, is it true that about 70% of churches teach this? Would that be just in America, mostly in America, worldwide? I've never heard such taught or preache…

My Church played this during our morning service and I was shocked that I've never heard or seen this before (I consider myself a reasonably knowledgeable sports fan). It's sad but now I look at July 4th as a celebration of what our country USED to be, not what it is now.

Here in Australia I don't know of one pastor who uses the term "Reverend", either for himself or for a visiting Pastor or evangelist, yet a few guys I know, when they have been to the US have been called "Reverend" when they have preached at IFB churches over there. Personally, aside from not being a Biblical term, I find it a little offensive to the Lord, as He is the one due reverence, not His servants. Any thoughts? Is this common over there?

Because you once again show a total lack of respect to Alan in attempting to pollute his thread, I will answer this in a new thread. I care not that you have reported me for 0ets9nal attacks - i have somply exposed you as a false teacher. As to lack of respect, I make no show of false respect for you but show the lack of respect you deserve as a false teacher. In my opinion you are here for the express purpose of converting people away from the truth and onto your false doctrines and false gospel. This is constantly displayed by your refusal to participate properly in the debate, not answering the questions put firth but avoiding them and answering things not even asked…

Hi., ho, all! Just a request for prayer. We have, currently, three vehicles down for repairs. My F150, my staple farm truck, just went down with transmission issues, my Ford Ranger still won't run, (given to me after sitting for eight years), and we have a Jeep being worked on, hopefully with everything bought and mostly done, as far as we know, but with my wife going one way to work and me going the other, it makes life difficult. I also am way overdue for a trip to the auction and my goats are eating me out of house and home, but our Tempo won't haul the trailer. So finally got my tax return and have money, but repairs are going slow. So if you might spare us a moment, …

America might think about doing something about our problem. Maybe we would not have to import so many people from all over the world if our people had children once again. http://russia-insider.com/en/society/putin-presents-medals-parents-seven-or-more-children/ri7676

Last week, in our church bulletin, our Pastor put information on a website called Goodsearch.com that if you do any searches from their site, one penny is donated to a charity on the site. It was suggested to use Fellowship Tract League, prints and distributes tracts worldwide. Our church has some of their tracts. You can look up www.fellowshiptractleague.com for more info. However, I've been using it for a week and it only shows 12 cents that I've earned for them. I search a whole lot more than that. And I put it as my default search provider too. Anyway, every penny counts!

Once again we see the Republicans for who they are. As usual, Republicans ran for office claiming they would fight against and stop the liberals, particularly Obama. As usual, once in office the Republicans have done the opposite. They continue on this course even now as they fight many Dems in congress to give Obama fast track approval for a Pacific trade deal. The Republicans, who claimed Obama can't be trusted, that Obama is bad for America, that Obama can't negotiate well, that Obama must be hemmed in, are now fighting all out to grant Obama a nearly blank check to make a major trade deal. Not only does this fly in the face of their previous statements, it flies in th…

Does anyone here know anything about the movie "Do You Believe?" Personally, I usually care little for most movies that deal with the Bible, but this one seems to be a much better one than I've seen in a long time. It's a PG-13 film put out by Pure Flix and has been released for public viewing as of March 20, 2015. If any of you know anything about it, I'd love to read what you have to say about it.

I thought it might be worth having a place to post examples of sentence structure, punctuation, and grammar, making a difference to meaning. An old, and most likely apocryphal, example: "An English professor wrote on the board: A woman without her man is nothing. The class was then asked to punctuate the sentence The men wrote: "A woman without her man, is nothing." The women wrote: "A woman: without her, man is nothing."" Please let's have no argument about the debate or the merits of grammatical analysis - start a thread about it if you like - this is just for examples, hopefully a bit funny if possible but not necessarily.

If you need to be paid to honor the troops are you an honorable human being? My wife volunteers to work at the V.A. hospital in Portland and she has done so for twenty years. Now that is honoring the troops. Our government and big business doesn't care about the troops any more than it cares for you and me . . . . and that ain't much! They use em up and dump em. Sorry this article just set me off. http://libertyblitzkrieg.com/2015/05/11/how-the-u-s-military-is-paying-nfl-teams-to-millions-to-honor-the-troops-at-sporting-events/

"Before some audiences not even the possession of the exactest knowledge will make it easy for what we say to produce conviction. For argument based on knowledge implies instruction, and there are people whom one cannot instruct." Aristotle didn't know it but in this he was in agreement with King Solomon. From Proverbs One: 20Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: 21She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, 22How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? 23Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour o…

Even those who have some wrong ideas can say something worth repeating sometimes. Here is one such little snippet from G.K. Chesterton "The whole modern world has divided itself into Conservatives and Progressives. The business of Progressives is to go on making mistakes. The business of Conservatives is to prevent mistakes from being corrected." This is not the way it ought to be . . . . just the way it is . . . . in my humble opinion.

http://www.patheos.com/blogs/friendlyatheist/2015/04/01/discrimination-against-atheists-is-now-officially-illegal-in-madison-wisconsin/ Anyone hear about this? I was not aware that atheists were being discriminated against. Weird. Now that it has hit in one place, it will soon be all over, with atheists giving teary-eyed speeches of how the evil Christians have discrimintated against them. Soon, Christian bakeries will be sued for not making 'Atheist Pride" cakes, and churches will be sued for not hiring atheists Sunday School teachers. Atheists Pride parades will shortly be the new norm. Seriously, has ANYONE heard of Atheists as being discriminated against in ANY way? I…

So, sometimes, when we think we have a particular aspect of life well in hand, the Loes allows someone to remind us that it may not necessarily be so. There is, in our church, two young couples, one, the husband was saved about 4 months back, (wife was saved), the other, just a couple weeks ago and baptized last Sunday. I pick these kids up for service as they don't have a vehicle yet. They have a neighbor, a fellow my wife and I have known for many years, and dealt with many times-he is a Jehovah's (false) Witness, he and his family. Well, he is a piece of work-dishonest, will lie when he can't use his doctrine to get out of being wrong in debate, is a cheat in business…
