By now you may have heard about Kyle Odom. He is the man that tried to kill Pastor Tim Remington of "The Alter Church" up here in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, this last Saturday, March 5th, and then flying to Washington DC to warn the President of the Martians hiding among us. Its my opinion that after reading his letter to KHQ, the local news station, that this guy was possessed/opressed by devils and over time increasingly manipulated by them. Here is the link to the letter: http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/khq/ODOMDOCS.pdf I could not help but have the opinion that from his own words he most likely was progressively being oppressed/possessed by devils which started at…

"But there is something to which I DO take a hard line. Replacement theology leads to antisemitism which then leads #1: unfair ethical treatment of Jews #2: persecution of Jews #3: actual Jewsh lives being taken by murderers" The above quote from Rhonda Is quIte an unfaIr treatment of people that teach Covenant Theology. First off - no where have I or Ian or anyone else ever said Israel was replaced by the church. Scripture has taught that only the 'believers' came into the Promised Land in Moses' time. And Only the 'believers' make up the Church. Hence, ALL believers make up Gods chosen people. There Is NO anti-semitism in that thinking. Nor ha…

Mods have been busy. Personally, I've not had time to read all the hoopla threads. I'm making myself take time right now for this thread (physical exam and visit with a grieving family today, Haz-Mat test and funeral tomorrow, making arrangements and prepping for an ordination and 4 day meeting -- morning and evening services, 3 meals a day.) However, I don't want HC to feel like she's the lone ranger after Tonto left to rejoin his people. She lamented over the lack of maturity exhibited by some members, I concur. Several times over the last 2 months have found me desirous of the free time to express my disgust over the "gotta have th…

It's something I didn't want to do but I finally had to drop my subscription to Sword of the Lord. They have strayed and become double-minded in ways I can't keep hoping will be corrected or that can be ignored. On one hand they will say there needs to be clear lines of separation, they will speak out against some they don't think are keeping separation, and yet on their other hand they will do what they say others should not as they quote non-Christians as if they were Christians, positively quote Calvinists and baby-baptizers they claim to stand against, support or turn a blind eye to those in their "camp" which use CCM while saying they are against it for othe…

I've put a very simple, basic, and small website together that offers people the chance to listen to the Bible. There's also a bible that you can read on the site too. I've kept it basic so the focus would be the Bible. I realize there are probably countless sites that already offer this service, and I realize that people (like me) already have an audio bible...but I wanted to do it anyway. One thing that sets this one apart is the narrator. I know Alexander Scourby is probably the most widely known and used (I have it myself), but you have to get permission to use his narration publicly...as you do with all others that I looked into when I made this audi…

Is there an example in Scripture of unspoken prayer requests? Is there a biblical foundation for such? I've heard a few sermons over the years which touched upon this. Most seemed to be against such, pointing out we are to share our burdens with one another, confess to one another and such. Only maybe a couple sermons favored the unspoken prayer approach but their support was based upon emotion and human reasoning rather than Scripture. One thing that raised this question again is how often someone will contact one or more of the local churches and ask for prayer for something unspoken. At the same time they are unwilling to share what they want prayer f…

When people talk about “Sin City” in the United States, they’re most likely referring to Las Vegas. But a new study says America’s most sinful city is known by a different nickname: The Big Easy (or the City That Care Forgot, or the Crescent City). Online real estate site Trulia recently ranked major U.S. cities based on the seven deadly sins, also called the cardinal sins. According to Trulia, New Orleans is America’s true “Sin City” while Provo, Utah, is the nation’s most saintly city. Here’s how Trulia measured each city’s sinfulness: Lust: Number of adult entertainment venues Gluttony: Rates of obesity, binge drinking and smoking …

I have gone back and forth on the issue of tithing for a while, and have done some studying on my own. I am still not quite sure what I think. I probably lean more towards a grace giving position. What position do you hold to, and why?

I posted this earlier on my fb page and wanted to share with everyone here. Enjoy! Wow!!!! What an exciting and powerful way to end a week! We attended the 2016 Prayer Conference at the Marietta Bible Center Church, in Marietta, Ohio. This is our "back home" church that we were members of before moving to the Columbus area in 1997. Overall, it was amazing!! To be able to see the Lord move and work in hearts in beyond words. I know of at least 4 people that were saved this past week. I believe that there may have been one more but I am not sure. Two of the people that were saved, were led to the Lord in a local laundry mat, and I don't believe that they missed one…

I know this is an older book and may have been discussed here before. I am reading it now for the first time. I am not finished with it yet but will be soon. Many may wonder why a person who believes firmly in the superiority of the KJV would choose to read a book like this. I like to look at both sides of the coin. I find it very difficult to speak to someone intelligently if you do not have some knowledge of their position. The author of the Book claims he believes the KJV to be a fine and trustworthy translation but then bashes it and shows how it and the TR are filled with errors. He then shows obvious bias towards the NIV and Vaticanus and Sinaiticus a…

With the entrance of the new year, I have been burdened to engage somehow in a forum Bible study that would contain both doctrinal depth and instructional edification. At present my thought is that this Bible study should cover a passage of not more than 10 chapters. (Actually, for the first attempt at such a Bible study, I would think that it would be better to have a smaller number of chapters; however, I do not desire to limit the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this matter.) Furthermore, my thought is that this Bible study would (at first) encompass two complimentary threads -- (1) This very thread, which would be for instructional guidance concerning the p…

With North Korea leading the way and Islamic extremism rapidly expanding, 2015 was the "worst year in modern history for Christian persecution," according to a group tracking this issue. Iraq is in second place on Open Doors' 2016 World Watch List, a ranking of the top 50 most dangerous places in the world to be a Christian. It's the first of 35 countries on the list where Islamic extremism "has risen to a level akin to ethnic cleansing," said the report, released Wednesday (Jan. 13). The nonprofit organization Open Doors has focused on concern for persecuted Christians since 1955. On its map, the top 10 are highlighted in blood red to indicate …

Child killer Robert Black dies in Northern Island prison. Here is an interview with the mother of one of his victims. This is a truncated version of the interview on the main news today. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-35304387 On the news the husband also spoke, saying one of his sons wrote to the killer, urging him to repent, and his other son sent him a bible. He added that he wished Black had repented and gone to heaven but that he showed no remorse and he feared he was in the depths of Hell.

Joshua 1:6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.…

As of this morning, I noticed that "Genevanpreacher's" postings are now under the name "Nobody ever." I am wondering what this name change might indicate. Is this simply a member changing his name? Or, is this something else . . .?

It has been said by many that in the story of the widow who put her last two mites in the Temple Treasury was being commended by Jesus after she did so. I am not so sure this was the case. Notice: Mark 12:38-44 And he said unto them in his doctrine, BEWARE OF THE SCRIBES, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces, And the chief seats in the synagogues, and the uppermost rooms at feasts: WHICH DEVOUR WIDOWS HOUSES, and for a pretence make long prayers: these shall receive greater damnation. And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there cam…
