Has anyone else noticed how people make excuses all the time. It is kind of getting a little frustrating. I keep asking my friends if they want to go to church with me, and they always have an excuse...homework being at the top of the list. I just don't understand. These people seem like they want to serve God yet they don't make time to go to church. Most of my friends don't even have a church they go to. That kind of bothers me as they are christians. I have also noticed that some of them are making excuses to not go out witnessing. This really bothers me. This guy and I decided we need to go out and spread the good news and I have been asknig people to go with…

Well one of my favorite hobbies is going to rummage Sales(Yee Haw!) I just figured this was the best place to post it but, YES! I got the best thing today at a rummage sale. I got a authentic 1944 Water Canteen from WW2 Era...Yes! And I also got a 1952 canteen from Korea Era! And guess how much I paid for it...I figure oh along 8 cents. I went to a huge Rummage Sale the boy scouts were having and it was late in the afternoon and they had decided that everything anyone could fit in a bag would be $1 per bag. And so I saw those canteens and I turned them over for the year(the year is/was always stamped on them) 1944! 1952! And I shoved them in the bag with glee! They have a…

This is tied to my previous post. Pensacola has a man by the name of Dr. Jerry Hullinger as a teacher in their theological seminary. He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. I was under the impression that these two schools have vastly differing standards. Would yall reccomend that a fundamental baptist preacher boy attend Pensacola Theological Seminary?

I hope that there isn't already another olympics thread. My heart really went out to her. They train so hard and then for her not to be able to compete. She is really a great skater. i have always enjoyed watching her skate. i honestly believe she could have taken the gold.

Not sure if this is the place to post, but have any of you ever repaired rattan? Years ago, I replaced rattan seats on some kitchen chairs by removing the rattan and placing a thin sheet of wood on the seat, then covering it with padding and upholstery, stapling the underside. Now, here I am later with a 15+ year-old set of six raggy rattan dining room chairs that have seen better days. I wonder if prices now would even make it feasible to try the same thing again.Does anyone have any other ideas beside wrapping new rattan?? I really don't want to do that. Oh, and I am so stupid for buying rattan! With a large family and frequent guests, it makes for a lot of wear and tea…

A ragged old Bible got a face lift, I stopped at Fox Valley Tanning, I picked up some sheep skin, I told the man it was for a Bible cover, he gave it to me. I made the leather the same width as the Bible is tall. I cut it long enough to cover both inside and outside of the cover, I used clear silicone and liberally glued it on. The Bible is now very attractive to sight and touch, there is nothing softer than that sheepskin cover. NOW! It rides in my center console in my service truck, every chance I get I show it off,"See how soft it feels" I say, that action has opened the door with more people than anything else I have tried.

1. It's so much easier to find Christian friends. 2. You don't have to guard your ears because there will be no cussing or bad music. 3. They give me a degree. 4. I'm given rules that make it soooo much easier to live a Christian lifestyle. btw-- I'm back from pcc! :D

I was told to post something. I thought and this was the best thing I had to keep ya'll busy. Do you think the quote "Sinner Saved By Grace" is a Biblically sound statement? I have my theory. It is probably a matter of opinion. I will give my answer later. I am in a hurry. We left Grandpa at home by himself. A big no no!

I work at a large hardware store, and I have a problem with my supervisor. She's always rude and she swears and yells constantly and sometimes blames me for not doing things she never told me to do. I just can't stand working with her. I need help! What does the Bible say about working with difficult people?
