In light of the New Jersey Governor's recent accident, in which it appears he was not using his seatbelt, how often do you?

How do you pray? I noticed that sometimes Jesus would lift up His eyes to heaven as He prayed: John 11:41 - Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. John 17:1 - These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: Love, Madeline

I just want to see the poll of "what churches need?" One of the options "other" is "what does the church need??" I believe all independent fundamental baptist churches need Evangelism AND Discipleship. Check it out in the website: http://www.fbbc.info/discipleship/index.html I am strongly encouraged you to recommend to your church about Discipleship Ministry. I guarantee you it will help the churches grow than you can imagine if the church members get involve the discipleship. Bible Don't forget to pray too. Praying Evan57 All Ears w/o hear

I would like to see what everyone's opinion on divorce is. Do you believe there is any reason given in the Bible that a person can divorce their husband. This is not a debate, there is a topic touching this subject right here. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=16931&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Since it was brought up in the other poll, I thought it would be best to make a new poll for this question: Would you be involved with a ministry that was not KJVO?

Well it's that time of the year for March Madness again. My ballclub won the first game of the SEC tournament. But I am afraid the Wildcats are not going anywhere in the NCAA tournament. Too eratic and something wrong with this team. Fans already calling for Tubby's head, but he is an awful good coach and I am not one of them. Who do youall think this year? Florida is for real but can be beat, Vandy showed em'. North Carolina looks good. I tell you I think we may have a sleeper this year. It will not be my beloved Kentucky though, :sad :leaving :faint:

Baptist Billboard 1 2 3 4
by Pastor Matt- 50 replies

Good Evening everyone, I have had inquires in the past asking me how one could donate to Online Baptist. While I do not like to accept money straight out, I do like to give something back in return for the donation. So, Online Baptist created BaptistBillboard.com. Some of you may already be familiar with the concept of pixels for sale, so what Baptist Billboard does is allow you to purchase pixels in cyberspace for only .25 cents. You can buy only one for .25 cents, or you can purchase as much as you would like. You can upload your own picture to Baptist Billboard, or you can use one of our predefined images. If you own a website this will help in your google ranking…

I debated whether to put this thread here or under hobbies...here won. So does anyone weightlift? I've been lifting on and off since I was 14, and am recently enjoying a renaissance of sorts. I woke up one day (last December), realized I wasn't getting any younger, and decided I was going to get back into weight training, so I turned my side of the garage into a home gym. I train the "big three" lifts...bench, squat, and deadlift. Well, not so much squat and deadlift since I see an orthopedic surgeon this Thursday. :sad

Lordship Salvation 1 2 3
by Samer- 32 replies
- 3.4k views
This is a bit tricky, and probably involves some semantics. I've seen the upper two views called "Lordship salvation," and the third one is usually called "free grace" or "easy believism." If what you believe is different than all of the three answers (perhaps a combination of several), please select "other" and try to describe how. One question that might help decide where you are on this...If you're at somebody's door talking to him about salvation, and he's drinking a beer, and asks you, "I'd become a Christian, but then I'd have to give up my beer and all my other sinning," what would you do? 1) Give him a strong rebuke, and tell him to give you a call when he's po…

A welcome to our new member... and I hope s/he does not mind me using this to springboard a discussion. This is a VERY common occurrence. Happens all the time. Having grown up myself in an IFB church, I watched many many do this. My brother is one, my sister another. I never really "ran" but I did change my beliefs rather significantly. So here is the question. If you grew up in church, was there a time you strayed from the Lord? If so, did you return to about the same theological position you were in or a different one. ?

Shopping habits 1 2

So admit it...what do you do while shopping? You can choose up to five items! I voted that I sometimes open food or clothing but always try to buy it...I think the only times I haven't is when I had to check a packaged clothing item for kids that had no weight or size on it and I had to see what it looked like before buying.

The staff at Online Baptist is always looking for ways to improve our community. We have many new ideas planned and soon we will be implementing them. One of the first things that we have planned is a points system. We soon will be opening up an OB store with all kinds of products. Member will be allowed to buy from the store, or work up points, which then can be used to purchase items in the OB store. Points will be given out for good posts, funny posts, or for any other reasons at all. We are looking for is 2-3 members that will be the ones to hand out the points. These cashiers will not be mods; they will only be passing out the points. The only requirements are th…
