Members chev1958
Yep, three hours of driving around and around in a circle. Yippee?!? And I'm from North Carolina too. Mitch

Members Bakershalfdozen
I agree too. Driving around in circles for hours is about as boring as chasing the same ball up and down the same area for hours. :Bleh

Members chev1958
chasing the same ball up and down the same area for hours. And which sport are you talking about? I can think of several that fit this description.

Members Tim
Well not everyone can have good taste in sports. Forty three cars running three wide less than a foot apart at speeds near 200mph is a little more than "riding around in circles" :duh Strategy, planning, driver skill, team performance, engineering, and guts are all part of what it takes to win. NASCAR beats stick and ball sports hands down. You don't have to deal with the gangsters and thugs that have become so common in most professional and college sports. NASCAR does not tolerate drug use or lawless behavior. When is the last time you heard of a NASCAR Driver or Crew Member involved in a drive by shooting, knifing, drug deal, rape, etc
Members Bakershalfdozen
I feel I need to clarify something: I think that watching sports on TV is terribly boring. :zzzz However, being at a game is much more fun. I enjoyed watching the boys in my high school play basketball and soccer and I enjoyed playing volleyball and softball.
Members Tim
I have really been into college Football the last few years. I also enjoyed the Superbowl this year for the first time in quite a while, the game was decent and I like Payton Manning. I enjoy going to a NASCAR race for "the feel" of the track and the excitement but I had rather watch a race or a football game on TV the view is better, I am more comfortable, and with TiVo I can pause it for a nature call or at snack time.
Members kevinmiller
I would rather be studying than watching sports on tv. I like to play them, hate to watch 'em. And Nascar isn't just southern you know. I knew a guy in orchestra that loved Nascar. Course he was a strange sort of guy. :wink
Members Tim
Of course NASCAR isn't just a Southern thang, there are smart people in other places too
