How do you refer to your pastor? Most everyone at our church refers to me as Brother Jerry. Personally I like to be called Brother Jerry and I detest to be called Reverend. Edited to add this. Years ago thru this part of the country the pastor was referred to as Elder. I have asked around why they changed to calling them brother, but know one seems to know. I'm 60 and all I ever remember hearing is brother.

So, how sure are you of all the beliefs (not talking fundamentals of the faith but the other things) you profess. Is there room for you to be wrong? Is there anything that you admit to believing right now that you would admit that you may be wrong on? I will give an example. Do you have your house and cars in husbands name only or in husband or wife or in husband and wifes name? See if I remember this right. If your property is in husbands name only, them he is the only one who can make any changes. If it is in husband or wife, either one can. If its in husband and wife it takes both to make any changes. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you think that a person caught soliciting sex in a public place such as a restroom and is convicted and or pleads guilty, ought not to be able to hold any public office in this United States? Please remember, there are restrooms in this country that are not really safe to go into because of sexual predators. Seems Ben Stein thinks they should be left alone. There is already talk of reopening the mine in Utah, but sealing off the area where the miners were trapped. Should they start back mining before the miners are found, and just give up. Are should they search for them until they are found.

Kinda hobby, kinda business, I do Christian cartoons. I'll share them as I can, but the ones that have been sold I am usually under contract that they cannot be printed in paper on online for a specific amount of time. The ones that haven't been sold, a lot of publications want first rights so putting them here makes them unsellable. I'm asking if anyone has suggestions for publications that purchase Christian Cartoons, and possibly contact information. It doesn't have to be large publications, but I don't really donate them simply because I at least have to recoup cost of stamps, paper, pens, ect. If it was a ministry, then I'd take a loss, but no one is gonna get…

Ohio had a trifecta President Trump, Senator Moreno (R) replaced Brown (D), and NO on issue 1! From what I hear the nation also has a trifecta of republicans for president, senate, and house. I hope the opportunity isn't squandered. -
Many years ago I came across a sermon an IB preacher named Gary Dice when he visited Australia, and from memory he was preaching on this passage, or at least referencing it. He sang a slightly silly song about this section of Romans 7, but I have never been able to find any reference to it anywhere else. I would appreciate it if anyone has heard of it and could give me a reference or link to it, or best case, the sheet music. I know there are many songs that come up when you do a google search, but none of them have been the one I am looking for. It has the words almost direct from the KJV, not just something loosely based on that text. Thanks folks.

I also noticed he seems quieter, perhaps more humble this time. But even last time I had come to view his particular tendency to boast as just having an immensely positive attitude. He's also careful to thank others and to offer credit where credit is due, while having no compunctions about calling out anyone who deserves none. -

Just to clarify on the repenting God did when Israel turned from their evil ways. The thing here is that their turning from evil ways here is called... works. So since salvation isnt by works ..and turning from evils ways IS works.. hence the issue with repent meaning 'turn from sin'. So there is what I was meaning. -

Thankfully the pastors I know NEVER STOPPED preaching the gospel. Remember, TGL, they're to preach the whole counsel of God, not just salvation messages. And just to be clear, preaching messages that promote conservative, Biblical values is imperative. Maybe one should let the Holy Spirit guide in what these pastors preach, eh?
