Just curious if any of you listen to it and/or know someone who's story has been dramatized on the program? For those of you who don't know what Unshackled is, it is a radio program that dramatizes true stories of people who have been saved from all sorts of backgrounds including drugs, alcohol, immorality, rebellion, etc. BBN broadcasts one of the Unshackled programs every night and it is such a blessing to hear the testimonies of these folks! Exciting plans, anyone? I am planning on relaxing, but my son wants to go to some of the memorial services, so may go to one or two. Tomorrow (Sunday), there is a service at the VietNam wall in our town. We will likely go to that. A friend of mine lost her son in Iraq in 2004 - just days after he arrived. We forgot to bring back the kid's library books until Saturday. They were way overdue. We owe a little more that $17 in late fees. I called the library and asked if we could get a reduction in the fines, and they reduced it by half.

For the last several years I been a Chronic Sinus Suffer. I took many over the counter meds and I had allergy shots and tried everything out there well almost everything. Many years ago I came across a sermon an IB preacher named Gary Dice when he visited Australia, and from memory he was preaching on this passage, or at least referencing it. He sang a slightly silly song about this section of Romans 7, but I have never been able to find any reference to it anywhere else. I would appreciate it if anyone has heard of it and could give me a reference or link to it, or best case, the sheet music. I know there are many songs that come up when you do a google search, but none of them have been the one I am looking for. It has the words almost direct from the KJV, not just something loosely based on that text. Thanks folks. -

I also noticed he seems quieter, perhaps more humble this time. But even last time I had come to view his particular tendency to boast as just having an immensely positive attitude. He's also careful to thank others and to offer credit where credit is due, while having no compunctions about calling out anyone who deserves none. -

Just to clarify on the repenting God did when Israel turned from their evil ways. The thing here is that their turning from evil ways here is called... works. So since salvation isnt by works ..and turning from evils ways IS works.. hence the issue with repent meaning 'turn from sin'. So there is what I was meaning. -

Thankfully the pastors I know NEVER STOPPED preaching the gospel. Remember, TGL, they're to preach the whole counsel of God, not just salvation messages. And just to be clear, preaching messages that promote conservative, Biblical values is imperative. Maybe one should let the Holy Spirit guide in what these pastors preach, eh?
