I once heard a Sunday School teacher teaching us that the giants, before the flood, did not have souls. He said that when they died, that was their end; they would have no resurrection. He gave no passage or verse to prove it. I think I may have stumbled upon the verse he might have based this on. I was browsing the book "Invicta" mentioned in another thread, Horae Apocalypticae; or, A commentary on the Apocalypse authored by The REV. E. B. Elliott. You immediately notice there are many references to Popery, Romanism, etc. It was refreshing to see the terms openly and frequently used. The 19th Century writers were not afraid to be non-PC or were they at that time, showing political correctness? It was after all published in England in the 1800s. When was the term "catholic" first incorporated into the Roman Church?

Anyone ever heard of this? I never have. Two people stopped by my house tonight from this group. They have some crazy beliefs that are just things I have never heard of (crazy California!!). They believe in a heavenly mother, Saturday sabbath, baptism and celebration of passover are required for salvation, Heaven is a mirror to earth (there is a heavenly Jerusalem and an earthly one), and we must know the bride of Christ (who is our heavenly mother) to enter heaven. They wanted to have the bishop come over and baptize me in my shower! I've never heard of any of this before, or this group. Anyone?

Here's a post I wrote on another site concerning the RCC mantra they call the rosary: The rosary was supposedly started for the benefit of those who couldn't read, with the Dominic story added later, but it's still a violation of Jesus command: "But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." Yeppers... many of us have noticed how over the past 50+ years Tom Turkey has been pushed off the road by the fat man in the bright red suit, flying around with his eight tiny reindeer! LOL The over commercialization of Christmas has gotten way out of hand! My parents Western Wear Store would NEVER allow Thanksgiving to be bypassed. None of the decorations for Christmas at their store came out until BLACK FRIDAY. I'm thankful for that. 🤠 -

Have we fallen short in baptisms? And why are baptisms being used as a measure for how strong churches are? Many pastors have seen the futility and falseness of dunking people just for the numbers? They've come to the realization that people need to understand what baptism is, and in the true discipling of people first. In the days of Christ people understood the implications of being baptized into this new religion called Christianity. They could be kicked out of the synagogues, lose their livelihoods, and even their lives.
