Anyone know someplace on-line I can find a time-line chart of the books of the Bible (I'm thinking OT) that I can show my kids to demonstrate which books cover the same timeframe in history? I think I'm googling the wrong words, I keep pulling up time-lines of when those books were written, not of when the actual events took place. Thanks.

This is really bugging me. I can't remember the name of a study Bible/study aid I am looking for. I saw one years ago in a pastor's study. Basically, it is a side by side (or maybe over-under?) style with the text on one side and a list of other ways a particular word could be translated on the other side. Does anyone know what I'm talking about or was that clear as mud?

Do christians in Germany argue over the translations as much as we seem to do? I wondered because I saw your signature scripture quote was in German. Hi everyone. Was Erasmus, the one who translated the textus receptus, a devout Catholic? I thought that he wasn't until someone on another board pointed out a Catholic Encyclopedia article about him: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/05510b.htm What is your answer to this? I need a good answer because this article pretty much refutes, in my opinion, a book chapter that I read on Chick.com about Erasmus. Please help! :puzzled:

Did Jesus bring the tabernacle into the promised land? Wasn't it Joshua? Doesn't Jesus give rest? In fact... isn't He the only One that can give rest. Shouldn't this be Joshua and not Jesus? MY mom amd her pew bibles are all NIV. If I approach her dirrectly she gets very angry and closed off. Kept praying about the problem and the Lord pointd out she'll still dicuss topics with me on the phone. Now I discuss topics but when there is a verse missing in her NIV I never miss the chance. OH my! Mom your missing a versre! When she see's the NIV just skips the number of the verse and continues right on she gets very quiet. I pray this is planting little seeds of doubt! pixiedust--Just thought this may be helpful for someone else.

It may have already been answered before but I don't have time to go back through all the topics that have been discussed, this year I have decided to do a study on Revelation. I would like to know if anyone knows a decent down the line study I could purchase or if it's best to just do my own. The problem with the later is I doubt that I could do justice to the topic that way. Some have said to start the study in Daniel first and then do Revelation. Does anyone have an outline or something that would help me??

A rumor is going on that a professor at Maranatha Baptist Bible College is good friends with former Indianapolis Colts Head Coach Tony Dungy and has talked to him about possibly coaching the Maranatha football team in the fall of 2009. This sounds like a good fit for Coach Dungy who has a strong Christian testimony and could impact the lives of many young men. Any other news on this?

A few of my commentaries from E-Sword states that "Jacob" should have been named instead of "Abraham" in Acts 7:16 and this made me wonder why since God's Word is infallible.
