Happily, I stumbled across the forum while doing a search for KJV Believing Churches in my area. I began reading some threads, lol, and the next thing I knew, I lost track of several hours, he he he (time well spent!). I believe in the infallable Word of God as written in the pages of the Authorized King James Version, the virgin birth of our Lord and Saviour and the unconditional and eternal gift of Salvation freely given to us by the Blood of Jesus. Of these things I stand fast and strongly grounded. On other subjects I try to keep an open mind and give honest thought to what others may believe (as long it stands true to the Scriptures). One of my favorite hobbi…

I found your site while looking for some info online. I got saved later in life. Raised Catholic and it was pretty much a C&E commitment. (Christmas & Easter). I believe God wanted to get a hold of me and I wasn't responding. I was VERY worldly and had no intentions of changing. Personally I was in a very rough spot and it wasn't getting any better, no matter how hard I tried. I was invited to attend a Baptist service and reluctantly accepted (I thought I had to "clean up my act" before I started church). I was impressed with the personal interaction of the people, so I went back a couple of times. My "religious" experience was superficial at best so I w…

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ! My husband and I accepted Christ as our Saviour later in life and were attending a non-denominational church. After saturating myself with God's word (NIV Bible), I realized that our church wasn't scripturally correct. Soon after we prayerfully made the decision to home-school our two young daughters and during this time a friend and I were in some meaty discussions about the KJV Bible vs. modern versions. After collecting many Bibles on my part and lining them up next to each other to study them, I could see that the KJV is thee one to grow in. By then I had already asked my husband if we could start praying about another chur…

I guess I should have came here first to introduce myself before I posted to a thread. Hi, my name is Robert and I live in West Virginia. I have been an Independant Fundamental Bapstist since a very young age, but I didn't know it. I was reared in an American Baptist Church and knew from a young age that my beliefs were a bit more "conservative" than those around me, including my parents. I found out what I was back in 2006, so here I am. Thanks, Bro. Matt, for the welcome you gave under a reply I did somwhere on this board.

My name is Ann and I am twenty years old. I grew up using the NIV and recently bought a King James. My mother in law is a Independent Fundamentalist Baptist. I do not agree with her on many issues. She says that the King James is the only true Bible, women must wear skirts and so on. I am just trying to get a better understanding of why the King James is so important and so many consider it the only true Bible. I do believe it is one of the best translations. But I do not agree that it is the only true Bible. All I am here for is a better understanding. I appreciate any and all help you folks could give me.

Hello there, My name is Marc, I reside in Bristol which is in South-West England, UK. I now consider myself to be an independent baptist, this Church is where I feel most at home. I found God about a month ago now and entered into his Kingdom straight away. I was baptised in water and of the Holy Spirit on February 29th. I think since that time I have had such an immense experience, my life seems to have become a lot more positive and I feel that God is teaching me so much. I recently learnt the names of the books of the Bible and can now quote quite a few verses. I have to give thanks to God for this as I was previously an atheist for the 21 years of my life. I think…

It is , and/or was been my new years resolution to take back the rainbow, since the sixties it has be used as something other than originally designed, that is, its purpose and meaning have been altered to fit the thinking of those outside of the Christian religion. The biblical meaning to us is a covenant... But the world has taken it and distorted its meaning to fit their own personal values and standards of living. Even though, it is a Christian symbol, and rightfully so; for it wraps around the thrown of God. Often I gaze at it, when I see it, and imagine how large the thrown of God is, as I see the rainbow stretch from one end of the horizon, all the way across t…

It seems to me that every time I turn around they are coming out with a new version; as though some are unsatisfied with what has already been written and published. The latest version that I have been discovering is the E.S.V. I was sent a free copy in the mail, but haven't read it yet, didn't even open it. Not interested, I guess, because it seems to be just another version to me; although I have run across it quit often on-line, and read some verses, not impressed! I am as they say a King James Only Version advocate! Now I understand that this is being considered by some as being in a cult! so I am in a cult now? Is this being persecuted for my faith in the K.J.V…

I have questions about the KJV only. Please can you tell me why is this the only inspired version. Does that mean its without error? I need more information or know if this is just a personal belief or what is it based on. I use multiple versions of the Bible and have found error in all of them except what is original Hebrew etc that we can get hold of and translate to check which I thought was the Inspired Word because it was original. Please will someone give me more info??? Dont be afraid to give me all you know. I dedicated to study it out either way and am looking to do that. If I have help, even better! Thank You :-)

My name is David; I am a blood bought, truth taught, King James Bible reading, Independent, Fundamental, Separated born-again Baptist believer in Jesus Christ. If it is not in Scripture I don't believe it. I don't believe in or practice Christmas, Easter or altar calls because none of it can be supported by Scripture. They are all 'traditions of men' and Jesus called such practice vain and making the Word of God of no effect.

Hi everyone! I was an active member here around five or six years ago, then I left to go to college and did not have internet. I'm back now, but since there's a lot of new people here I thought I would introduce myself again. I grew up going to church and I made a profession of faith when I was five because I saw someone else do it, but as I grew older, I knew I was not saved but refused to actually pray for salvation. After a series of events, I finally gave in and trusted Christ at the age of 22. The following year, I graduated from a secular university and God called me to Bible college. I graduated from Bible College in May 2010 and have returned to my home ch…

Hello, I am wondering if I found this sight to help and get help from another in "my boat". My husband died almost 3 years ago and I strive to show God as father to girls who still miss their earthly father,as do I.

Hello, I just registered and account, and wanted to introduce myself. While the internet has no lack of self professing "Christian" content, I have found that most of it is quite different than what I read in the Bible. It is always nice to fellowship with other Christians who are of the same mind. I hope that I will be able to contribute meaningfully here.
