:lol I hardly have the TV on and we have three of them in the house. One in our bedroom ( hubby relaxes in the bedroom and watches snippets of stuff), The Main room where we have sky angel (we got this so we can watch other old programs) , the third one is in the computer room for my husbands video editing.
I rather read over watching TV.

I'd rather read, too. I wish I had more time for it. We used to have two TV's, but when we moved we sold them..........like you, we rarely ever watched them anyway. Even the commercials during the 6:00pm news were sometimes filthy Victoria Secret half naked women. :freak:

A few years ago this television show came out on NBC called "The Book of Daniel." It was about an Episcopal priest who was addicted to pain pills, had a gay son, a wife addicted to alcohol and a whole other assortment of problems. Christ also had a recurring role in which he was portrayed as a "hippy" type character that mocked the Episcopal Church. To say the least, this caused an up roar in my conservatice southern Episcopal Church.

The Sunday after the first airing, my priest addressed several of the concerns about the show that parishoners had come to him about. He said that God has given us this wonderful ability to sense when something is wrong and that we should use that sense at all times. He said the greatest "V-Chip" in the world is the "off button" on your remote control. If you sense that something is wrong, then it probably is. All you have to do is turn it off. Its that simple. You don't need a boycott or a protest or anything else. Just turn the show off. Enough people across the country followed his advice and the show was cancelled before the end of the first season. Just turn it off.

I only know who "Bruno" is because it was in the paper. Really, the trash that's on MTV shouldn't surprise anyone that something like this would happen! We don't have a tv either, for that reason and others. KJV - don't watch it and that's a good boycott...they get ratings from watchers, so that would be one less...

Honestly? The only "Bruno" I know of is Bruno's supermarket (it's a chain down South).

I don't have much time for TV. Sometimes I leave Cspan on for the background noise while working. I don't know Bruno or watch mtv. I try to tune in for the local weather 6:20 PM EDT. But the weathermen rarely get that right...lately :Green

Of course there is the public and privately funded "public" television broadcasts. They don't have commercials but, then you have that constant liberal-humanist agenda going in the ear gate.
...ahhh, no :thumbdown
