No vegetables?

When you have chicken you have it all, no need for anything else....why? Because once you eat the whole chicken there is no room for anything else.

Chicken does not count towards your five a day. My Ratatouille counted as four of my five and  my lunch counted as three.  So I exceeded my 5 a day.

Melon from the greenhouse, Omelette and grilled tomatoes.  The melon was an Ogen, an Israeli bred variety. Earlier this year at I spoke to a rep from a seed company and said in 1976 I had grown their Ogen melons, he said "That is an old variety" then I looked in the plants section and there they were, so I bought some.  I don;t usually have much success with melons but I picked my last three today.  I have some more plants which I hope will supply fruit later.

Have a safe trip

We hope so. We are taking our granddaughter  taking down to Sartrouville in the Région Parisienne.  I don't really relish the prospect of driving in the Paris region.  God willing.

I was planning Spaghetti Bolognese, but we had a large lunch and I am not sure if we can manage it.

Homemade chili, and, if my wife is able to make it, cornbread.
