Well Janet...I still have but one wife and three children and none of us are kings.

Just about any kind of pie is fine. We've been hot but now there are clouds and rolling rumbles of thunder. We might get some rain. If we do, I'll just continue to read the polygamy posts and see how King James comes out as the thread continues.

Meanwhile, I'll read and study my King James Bible with my thoughts on the One True King.

Amen Bro. John! :thumb :amen: Nothing like a good front porch Bible Study! I have my KJV Bible at the ready so that I can open it to whatever scriptures are mentioned. :bible: I think there is a cool breeze fixing to blow through here. Can I refill your tea glass?

More tea would be right refreshing! My mouth gets dry when I read the Word of God, especially when the Lord is really showing me things and I begin to read outloud!

I would be missing a lot more than one Sunday Service if my preacher ever started preaching anything against King James or the King James Bible!!!

King James was the King of Scotland before he became the King of England you know! - I hope your preacher was not preaching anything like that there in the hills of Kentucky or Tennessee those Scottish Highlanders/Hillbillies don't take to kindly to such as that!

When I first looked for Church in this area, I walked in and asked to see the Pastor, Man answered, "I am he".
I then asked to see his sword, man answered "Here it is",,, I said, "Don't look like Bible, what is it?"
Man replied, "NIV" to him I answered, "Have a nice day".

I have also studied the history of King James, When I get to Heaven, I would be honored to shake his hand.
Of course there are lies about him, he was used by God in a major way, Satan hates him.

Wow, I leave out of town for a couple of days, and ya'll run away with this thread.
I will get an audio copy of this sermon this week sometime, and have a listen to for myself.
So, my pride says I should take this pastor to school on the KJB debate. I know my Bible will stand tall over his version, and I know my God of the Bible don't make mistakes.
So, should I dust my sandles, or correct him in love?

Do not strive with the pastor of that church.

Rom 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth.

You're not going to change his mind, his position or his teaching.

Move on. If he ever comes around and asks why you left, tell him, but there is no need for you to go to him.

There is no such thing as reformation from within.

God bless,

Calvary

But, 1Tim 5:1 says Rebuke not an elder, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren

So, if he goes to the pastor to present his case in the proper spirit, he can do it. He just can't stay to cause trouble.

I agree with Bro. Calvary - once a person's mind is made up there is no changing his position. Even when his position is based on rumors, innuendoes and lies.

Yea I read online that some people thought that King James was a Homosexual. If he was then we aren't really reading the Inspired word of God. However' date=' I don't believe everything I read on the web now.[/b']

How could anyone be a homosexual and approve of putting Romans 1 in the Bible? That is all just slander to undermine the inspiration and authority of the KJV Bible. :roll

It seems a lot of folks anymore want to set their Pastor right. Of course, they are doing it in the spirit of meekness. :nono:

I would never dream of correcting a preacher - that is between him and God. I would simply leave and not come back. If he came to visit me I would not welcome him into my home - not him or anyone who agreed with him about King James and the King James Bible. I would not run and hide if he came around, but I would be just sitting on the front porch, rocking in my chair and sipping on iced tea.

I would separate from that Apostate Church and after much prayer and direction from God I would most certainly find myself another TRUE church in which the Word of God was preached.

For myself, it would depend upon the issue at hand. I wouldn't "confront" the pastor; yet if the issue seemed important enough to me to question, I would go to the pastor and talk with him about it. In doing so, I would go to him as a concerned member of his congregation, seeking his explanation of the issue at hand...asking questions if and when necessary, and see where we stood after that.

I agree. Too many Christians decide to just leave a church without following Biblical commands of Church Discipline.
