Merry Christmas

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

For those of us that know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, Christmas mean more to us than it does to the world. On this day we celebrate the birth of Jesus which can be found in be found in [bible]Matthew 1:18-25[/bible], and in [bible]Luke 2:1-20[/bible]. Jesus was unlike any other baby born, the one born that night in Bethlehem had no earthly mother or Father, and was given birth by the virgin Mary. God knew His Son would be the sacrifice for out sins, yet He loved us enough to send his Son to be born among sinners and to die between sinners. Like the song says, He was Born to die.

Thank you Jesus. While we are out and about visiting family and friends, may we never lose the focus of this wonderful holiday.

Merry Christmas, and thank you all for making this the best online Baptist community.

It is a little past 12:00 here...the kiddies are fast asleep. The presents have been painstakingly put in some semblance of order for easy dissemination.

I wonder if they truly know how blessed they are (I tell them all the time), compared to the billions who have nothing.

God has seen fit to allow them to be born into a Christian home, in a IFB church, in the United States of America, in a house with "things", and with godly friends, a Christian school, and a shield from the world.

Did you ever think, "Why me?" Why did God save me? I know who I am, and what I am. So again I ask, "Why did God save me?" Thank God for His unspeakable gift...
