I am so ashamed that I didn't listen to the advice given to me not only on here, but also from other people I know "in real life". I am going to have to sit down w/ my daughter and tell her that momma was wrong and that we will not allow any Hannah Montana to be in this house. She started out nice enough, but she isn't staying that way. Pics of her emerged in very immodest clothing, etc. While some may say these are only photoshopped, there are other pics of her at a recent awards show that are real and the dress was just awful. I am not concerned about the music, as is not an issue around here. I am however, drawing the line at the immodesty. I can feel better in the fact that when Erin (my dd) saw the awards show and the dress HM was wearing, she was totally shocked and commented about the fact that it was totally inappropiate.
I can't believe I was so blind as to believe that HM would stay "clean".

That takes alot to not only get on here and say that but also to go to your daughter like that. You are a good mom. Everybody messes up, makes mistakes...I can only hope my kids will be blind to all mine and turn out good in spite of me.

God bless as you raise your children for Him!

ok - I'm glad that you saw this before Erin got over the shock and began emulating her. Myley can't really help what she is becoming - her entire environment is geared to that. I think it's sad, myself!!! But praise the Lord that He showed you so you can help your daughter! And your daughter will respect you greatly for sharing this with her.

Kita was posting as I was...and I agree with what she said 100%.

I do have a great daughter! Before I even had the chance to talk to her, she informed me that she thought it would be best if we quit watching HM b/c of the way she has been dressing!! Excuse me for bragging, but I am so proud of her!!

That kind of bragging is okay!!! It shows that she's learning what you're teaching! :thumb

This is very sad but typical. I just read the other day about how she has been seen recently in some immodest outfits.

Typically, as soon as a girl child star begins growing up the studio big shots want them to start looking more "grown up", and by this they always mean they want them to start dressing "sexier". :sad

In any event, it speaks well of your daughter (and your parenting!) that your little girl noticed this herself and spoke out about it. A big :thumb to both of you!

Great Choice Keep your daughter away from HM however, don't feel bad because we are all learning in this day of wickedness. It's sometimes hard to keep children away from things that thier peers are into. Did you have that talk yet? I am also not a parent however, My nieces adores HM and I see alot of HM stuff on her myspace page it's rediclous.

I saw the photos. They are not of her. It's an obsession people have that the famous be flawed. The photos don't even look like her, but people are claiming it's definitely her.

LOL why were you looking at her pix? :ha

Regardless, the OP also said they did not approve of her outfit she wore at the awards ceremony, which was filmed live or whatever.

exactly!

I can give the benefit of the doubt that the pics weren't of her. However, the award show was life. Also, there was another show that she was in and danced a very seductive style of dance. I hate it, but we are done w/ HM.

I wasn't looking at her pics, I checked out an article that had the pictures in it. My kids watch her show all the time, occasionally I watch it with them. I haven't seen her do anything wrong, and given how quickly people are to accuse her of quai-porn based on pics of someone else, you'll excuse me if I'll wait to see with my own eyes if she's done something questionable.

She has just recently begun to wear some immodest clothing and has begun to add some "sexual" moves to her dancing. These are far different from what she wore and how she danced in the past.
