This is the official Online Baptist voting poll. If you need another option added to the poll, just let me know. Then media loves pols (when it favors them), but I think they will ignore our poll. ?

Sigh, yes, the "lesser of two evils," is prevalent among our elected officials.

The character, attitude, and personal life, of our elected officials in our age seem to reflect our society.

Are we voting for a politician or a pastor?

Sureword,

First of all, I think Pastor Markle explains my thoughts and I appreciate his post.

Secondly, I would like to reference (linked below), you to an earlier comment on the subject of voting for a  "politician" or a "pastor" that may further enhance your knowledge of my thoughts. I am lamenting the fact that in times past a politician, even most Democrats, had "character."

I firmly believe that President Trump is the most qualified individual to function, within the bounds of the Constitution of the United States and will keep us free from the the anti-American, anti-Constitution, policies and practices, of the Socialist, Marxist ideology of the Democratic Party.

I also firmly believe that if president Trump kept his mouth shut a lot of times and had better character, than he would be a better example, and more presidential, than he has been.

A vote for Biden- Harris, or Harris-Biden, is a vote for Socialism, or anarchy, or a  Communistic society here in America. A Biden-Harris administration will do away with almost all of the freedoms, especially the freedom of worship, we previously enjoyed and would entail more hatred, violence, and lawlessness we experience today.

A vote for the re-election of President Trump is a vote for our Democratic, or Republican, system of government to continue and a vote for increased safety from the Marxist rioters in the Democratic controlled states.

Excellent!

1. Trump will not take away our constitutional right for freedom of worship and I believe he will stop the current governmental promotion of Islam. I am of the belief that Trump will not hinder the churches. I am of the opinion that Trump will help the chuches regain some of the rights to express our Christian more openly.

2. Trump will help the cause of the Jews and the nation of Israel.

I sincerely hope so. Either way, Trump has let it be known by a public stance that he openly accepts Christianity.

I am very happy that this was brought out.

We are voting for the President of the United States, a public office, and not a church office. The qualifications for a man in the ministry is not the qualifications of a man seeking public office. Nor should Christians be limited to only to vote for dedicated Christians. When a man takes up arms and fights for his country he is fighting for the Constitution and for the government to follow the Constitution; not the qualifications for a church office. God gave the government to responsibility to defend (physically), the citizens. It is the responsibility of the man of God, the church, to stand up and defend the spiritual (doctrines), of the scriptures. I am not voting for a pastor.

Our thoughts on electing officials to run our government should be:

1. Will they follow the constitution?

2. Will they help America?

3. Will they abide by the laws of America?

4. Will they continue to permit the freedom of religion?

5. Will they allow open Christian activities? Witnessing in public. Distributing Bibles. Etc...

6. Will they hinder the church?

I am of the firm conviction that Trump will help the cause of the Lord Jesus and not hinder it. Trump knows that Christianity has helped democracy and not hindered it.

One of the reasons why Bill Clinton, Obama, and Hillary is against Christianity is that they are against democracy and our Constitution. They, and a lot of liberals, are either Socialist or Communists.

For the above reason stated by Ronda, some Christians would not vote for Ronald Reagan.

Ronald Reagan was hounded by the press continually, hated by the liberals, condemned by many liberal churches, and the list could go on.

Regards,

Alan

I agree. That is one of the few reasons why we went third party in 2016 as a protest but I have to say he far exceeded my expectations and has even improved in his character and somewhat moderated his speech over the last term with the godly influences he wisely surrounded himself with. We'll be voting for him this year as he has kept his campaign promises and there really is no better option.

I myself am also praying that Vice President Pence will serve like a Daniel for President Trump.
