So true' date=' Jerry...except, these people actually "think" they are Christians. They believe what they are being taught from the pulpets of these "weak" doctrinely sound churches. :sad The pastors allow all kinds of events to entertain these people instead of being theologically correct in their teaching. Acts 20: 29-31...For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. KJV 1611 AV. The Apostle Paul's Farewell to Ephesus.

Some of them may be Christians who are deceived while many are not Christians at all.

Sadly, this is one of the hardest groups to reach with the Gospel. Those who already think they are Christians, already believe they are okay with God, tend to be very resistent to the Gospel.

Even those who are Christians but are caught up in some deception can be very hard to reach with the truth. They trust their pastors and view those who speak against what they teach as being wrong or even evil.

America is in serious need of evangelization despite the very high percentage of Americans who call themselves Christians.

:goodpost: :amen: That is why it is so critical for IFB churches to train missionaries to stay in the USA now. :pray IMO, we need some balance in this country. After hearing a missionary to the Philippines, preach 2 years ago...he was burdened that the US is in the state of despair it is in. When our IFB preachers visit the Philippines...he takes them to the graveyards and shows them the tombstones of US military men that fought for their freedom. They pray for this country!

America is often neglected when it comes to evangelization.

I don't understand many of the modern concepts of missionaries. In Scripture, the missionaries went forth winning the lost to Christ, establishing churches and moving on. If they encountered areas resistent to the Gospel they shook the dust off their feet and went to the next town.

Today I read of missionaries who have been in a place for YEARS without a single convert. Why?

Some churches will send tens of thousands to a missionary in another country who has reaped nothing after years being there yet they wouldn't consider spending a few hundred dollars on trying to win the local lost to Christ. I just don't get it. :puzzled:

instresting posts on this thread. My husband and I automatically boycott Mcdonalds, other fattening places because I am on a diet right now. When we do go to Mcdonalds I like to be a witness to the people. I agree if we boycott everything at once we wouldn't eat, drink ,clean ourselves, drive our cars, live in a home, have clean clothes and get medical care because almost majority of the companies support diversity. That is all what this is about diversity.

Be careful about saying that. You really don't know what God is leading other churches to do nor exactly what work its members may be doing.

And unless your at these other churches you rightly don't know where their money is going to nor what they be doing, and rightly its not our business, its between them and God, we will do well if we do our part of God's works which He has cut out for us.

Totally agree we should focus on presenting the Gospel to diverse groups not keeping it from them because they sin. Homosexual or not present the Gospel! Had a preacher read this story from England about a preacher who got arrested for preaching about homosexuality as a sin and he made a huge deal about it and took up nearly an hour about this story (It was a few years ago so some of you might have heard it as well) anyways I went home and researched this story via the Internet even looked at actual court stuff the preacher wanted them dead and threatened to kill them in open public. That my friends is wrong under British law. If you threaten to kill someone openly in public you should be charged under the law if the law is in practice. Merely saying he talked about sin was inaccurate on the preachers part. The truth was the man threatened to do harm to them.

Is there a spell check on here?

Hi Jerry! I understand what you are saying..."Where He Leads I will follow". :smile I think that John is making a point that this nation is "falling apart" at the seams. It has everyone concerned. :sad I do have faith, that the Lord is in control, and will "fix" this situation in the long run. Thank the Lord for the ability to lay our burdens down. :thumb

Of course this world is falling apart, its a fallen world, no doubt, today man is doing his every imagination. Its a far cry from what it was when God said, "...it was good," Genesis 1:25.

I feel we must be in the last days. 2 Timothy 3:1-9, prior to the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ for his own, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.

I have competently confidence too, mankind's only hope is Jesus Christ, that this world is not going to get any better, but worse. Seems we got on the fast roller coaster back when Madelyn Murray O'Hare got the Bible and prayer taken out of our schools. Seems since that time in history the sinners in this world have gotten extermly open and bold, flaunting their sins before everyone, even to the point of trying to push God completely out of America.

But, yes your right on the mark, God is still setting on the throne, whatever happens, its is He who allows it to happen. But we can see that what He has informed us about in His Holy Word coming to pass right in front of our very own eyes.

Thanks be to God's grace given to us, the best is yet to come for us, but all of those lost souls, this is as good as it gets for them, what they have ahead of them, they will not enjoy the least bit. So we must, "Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Colossians 4:5, that is be about our Fathers business, spreading the Gospel and being the best witness that we possibly can be. No doubt, its a worth while effort and the rewards will be great.

Not a problem. We don't eat there now, anyway.

First of all, we don't like McDonald's.

Second, we live so far out in the country that there isn't one around us, anyway.

Third, the burgers I make at home are much better, anyway.

He will fix it in the long run he will come back for us. We are only here temporarily. This life will be gone before we know it.

I might add, any more when one eats out its hard to find a place that has good food even though there are many places out there to choose from.

A lot of eating joints seem to start off having good food, but when they get their business established they seem to start buying poor quality food to try and increase their profits, they would do better just to go up on prices just a bit.

Most places a hamburger does not taste like a hamburger anymore.

That's a fact! Culver's has a pretty good burger, but nothing beats homemade - especially done on the grill!
