Welcome Bro H.  How nice to have you with us. Could you tell us a bit about you and your church over in the "Introduction" section? The picture you supplied looks like a beautiful country church.

Thanks for the welcome. Our little church Brookside Missionary Baptist Church is located in the small Western NC town of Old Fort, NC. It does not have a long written history, but has an oral history that has been shared through it's long time members. I began around early 1900's initially as a community school. Our congregation consists mostly of families of the initial members. We are Baptist but not affiliated with any association. We are self governed under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We are not typical independent Baptists in that we believe the "Church" is all the truly saved, and also our local church as an assembly of like minded believers. We are not ecumenical nor universal. I look forward to getting to know our brothers and sisters on this forum. I pray that we all can be of one mind and one accord in our service to The Lord Jesus Christ.

I am the Pastor.

LOL, I wondered, especially after looking at y'all's FB page!  We had a dear friend/fellow church member when we lived in GA, with your same name and attend his funeral the Sunday before Labor Day.
