I waited on my wisdom teeth to grow out to have them pulled. except one of them, it couldn't come out and it was killing me . I would have kept my other wisdom teeth but it was decayed and toothbrush couldn't reach there. .. it sure was cheaper have them "yanked" out than the surgical one. If you plan on getting pregnant again anytime soon after the baby, do it after birth.. all of them so you don't have to worry about it.

and if you have weak enamels, use soft toothbrush and don't brush too hard. It weakened the enamels some more. But I am sure your dentist have already told you that.

Hmm..no I didn't know that about the toothbrush. I have very weak enamel and for some reason I thought a hard toothbrush and tough brushing would keep them super clean so my enamel wouldn't erode. I'll have to get a soft toothbrush next time. I use Sensodyne Pronamel toothpaste which is supposed to help strengthen enamel.

Today the dental surgeon was like "When are you due?" and I told him on Janary 31st. He said, "See ya February 1st!" HA HA HA :P

I was so nervous today. I've had some bad experiences with dentists. One dentist pulled my tooth without numbing it (I jumped out of the chair!). Another tried to fill an abcessed tooth without numbing it well enough. He wouldn't stop until I was crying and my nuckles were white from gripping my skirt in pain...even then he wanted to continue, but I was like uh hooo way! Then another dentist was doing the cement buildup on my teeth and one of the instruments inside my mouth busted. Well, it sprayed the cemical buildup into my throat. She began screaming at the assistant "Wash it out! Wash it out! It's toxic!"...it tasted salty so I thought I was bleeding. I was trying to shout "I'm bleeding! I'm bleeding!"

Oh deary... thankfully I finally found a good dentist. An army dentist at that. His motto is "We cater to cowards!" Thankfully this new dentist seems really nice as well.

you'll know you have been numbed if you can't feel your lips.. (or other type of numb symptoms) but the dentist suppose to ask you if you can feel your lip first before he start any procedure. Mine always did.

One time I felt a little headrush from numbing.. and it turned out the numbing didn't do right because I could still feel my lip When he was about to start, I could feel the coldness (from his tools and the air pressure) real easily and I made sure he knew that.. so the dentist figure the first one didn't do right so he numb me again and this time it did numb me.

I told him and told him it wasn't numb..he didn't listen to me. He was a very bad dentist anyways (obviously lol).

Thank you ALL for your wonderful advice to me!

I went to the oral surgeon today and had my x-ray. He said that it's not infected and that the extraction can totally wait until after the baby is born!:clap::clap:

Hooray! The advice you guys have given me has helped me a lot and the pain is a lot better. Dr said it may be because of the sinus trouble I've been having effecting my teeth.

Either way, my baby isn't in any danger and I'm so VERY thankful for all of your prayers. God heard and totally answered.

Praise God!!! We serve an awesome God indeed!!!

I'm so glad things are ok! I've had bad dentist experiences that have left me fearful of going to the dentist too - teeth pulled without enough numbing and a root canal too. I stll have my wisdom teeth in, and I think one of them has come in sideways, but none of them have ever bothered me.

Well, I have a lot to thank the Lord for about this little "concern" of mine! I went to the oral surgeon and had x-rays done. We don't have dental insurance and so we had to pay out of pocket. I did give them my health insurance card, but I was pretty sure it wouldn't cover anything. Sure enough i got a bill in the mail for $150.00 for the x-rays. So, of course, I paid it right away and forgot about it...though I was disappointed that it was so expensive. THEN I got a cheque in the mail just yesterday! The dentist was returning all my money! Apparently my health insurance DID cover it! HALLELUJAH for that unexpected blessing. :)

A few weeks ago though my jaw was killing me. I was in such bad pain I ended up in the emergency room. They gave me an antibiotic for what they believed was an infection either of the sinuses or of my wisdom tooth. Praise the Lord after a week of taking that antibiotic I haven't had any more trouble with my teeth!

Just wanted to say that God really DOES supply all our need...He does and I thank Him for it!
