Lol! Nothing like a little mutiny...Ā  :coverlaugh:Ā  No, wait - I've got it! A Tea Party! Ā  Ā  :th_laugh1:

Ā

Ā

Is looseleaf tea as big a deal down there as it is up here right now? We have whole stores popping up that sell nothing but looseleaf tea. My friends are big into it. I like it too, but I can't be bothered with all the little details - this kind steeps for so long, that kind for so long longer, etc. I just brew it and drink it. :frog:

It depends on the area, but loose leaf is pretty popular. It's not normally available in the tea aisle of the grocery store. That's usually where the bagged teas are. Loose leaf actually has a fuller flavor, but I don't use it often.

I will post easyer topics soon, I can feel the tension here, Thank you guys for supporting me here. This is a great website.

Ā

My friend (converted Hindu lady with Sikh children (Sikh father - now left the family & divorced his wife)) had been discouraged by TV preachers saying "if you were a Christian you would be out there doing great things for God." The children have not come to Christ.

Ā

I encouraged her by pointing to the little people in Scripture - the followers of the BIG names. We looked at Jeremiah's faithful friend & secretary Baruch to whom was given the word of encouragement:

Jer: 45:1 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying , 2 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch; 3 Thou didst say , Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. 4 Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down , and that which I have planted I will pluck up , even this whole land. 5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest .

Ā

Our calling is to be faithful servants, prayer supporters, etc. It is for God to do the great things. In troubled times Habakkuk learnt: 2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Indeed, if God calls us to be a janitor then it's a great thing to obey God in that!

Ā

Just because someone might have a more public role or seem to have a bigger or better gift of service than another, that's just our human perception. What's important to God is if we fulfill the role He calls us to, whether that be a big name evangelist or the church janitor or any other role.

Ā

If we are in God's will, we are doing "great things" for God.
