1. Women are responders.

2. Women need consideration and understanding.

3. Women have to have some friends who are girls, even if they're married, just to have girl talk and go shopping sometimes!

4. Women have a natural mothering instinct given by God.

5. Women have intuition (which I believe is also given by God) and they should listen to it...I've learned this is definitely true in my life! I thank the Lord that he gave us "weaker vessels" intuition.

1. Women say they want open and honest communication; but they don't really.....they just want you to listen to them uninterrupted :frog

Interesting generalization there trc! LOL

I for one prefer when my husband listens AND responds. Otherwise it's not satisfactory communication.

My wife is the same way. She would not want me to "yes" her too much.:lol::lol:

I've learned to listen to her instincts, too. So many times she is right for all the wrong reasons, but right nevertheless. .

Yes...otherwise, getting the "blank stare" doesn't say much. :lol How fun is that? :bonk: One can never really tell with the "blank stare." I need body language signals. Hand gestures, etc. I am mostly Irish. LOL.

1. Women don't really want to be leaders in the home. They are looking to their husband for support in this area.

2. Most women are emotional.

3. Women love a good girlfriend or two to confide in.

4. Women love the Cinderella Story come true in their lives.

5. Women want to be told the truth by people...in a kind, gentle way.

6. Women love babies and children.

Kind of amusing, I saw this one coming. Women lists a string of beliefs about women. Men don't want to touch it w/ a 40 foot pole (because there are women on board??). :lol Notice that I didn't touch it either :tum

Ha from reading this thread so far I think I can add something to my list about men.

A lot of them certainly don't think much of women...Sounds like some men think rather poorly of women. I would think the ladies on this board would like to hear what the general consensus is about them....because you think it would be from a Christian man's viewpoint, not from the viewpoint of the majority of men on the sitcoms of today.

BTW...there is nothing more attractive to a lady than to see a man who treats women with respect, kindness and consideration. Why is it that a lot of men like to put women down or lump them all into one big horrible category.

One thing that stood out to me when I met Samer was how kindly he treated his mom, my mom, my Grandma and me. He doesn't make derogatory remarks about women in general. He has never made me feel like he thinks I'm a chatterbox or someone whose opinion isn't valued.

:goodpost::amen: My hubby is the same way that Samer is. They come from good stock...I say. :thumb

The short answer, because a guys mind works differently than a ladies mind and while a guy might have at least some idea of HOW a ladies mind works, he has difficulty with WHY it works that way. :Bolt:

BTW

It isn't that guys think all ladies are horrible, it is just that guys aren't always sure how honest they can be about something without damaging the weaker vessels feelings... so... that tends to produce a certain amount of discomfort which later turns into jokes.

For example, if a lady asks if you think what she is wearing is ugly and you think it is, you REALLY don't want to tell her that, you have to be creative. With another guy, you can say what you think without worry of tears. Guys really don't like to see ladies cry. :lol

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa..................ha.................I knew that would get things going. Trust me, I'm a very considerate and loving man who more than believes in open and honest communication in both directions. With that said, I have found that most women can not handle a man being "totally" honest.

Example: Wife asks, "Honey, does this outfit make me look fat?" You all know there is NO WAY for a man to answer this trick question totally honest without suffering the repercussions, just no way!
