My posts were trying to have less divisiveness, but it seems are generating more. For that I apologize.

Yes, I did dwayner79. I am glad that it was not your intent.

Seth's posts (as presented according to the KJB) are very accurate. I trust that BroMatt would not have made him a moderator if he did not know what he was talking about.

I don't see that Dwayne was trying to attack anyone or to start anything. From what I've read of Dwayne's posts, he most often seems to go out of his way to post his views that differ from the main here as civil and respectful as possible.

Dwayne and Kevin, in as far as I can tell, are both born again Christians. They are our brothers in Christ even if they hold some differing views on some issues.

I believe the Lord led me to use the KJB. Neither Dwayne or Kevin have experienced that. Looking back, prior to the Lord leading me to use the KJB, I wouldn't have been able to say I had experienced that either, yet I was a born again Christian.

There are folks on this board who think speeding is okay, woman can wear pants (or not), women can wear cullotes (sp)...or not, can consider hair that most of the planet would consider short to be biblically acceptable; men who think different about men's hair cuts and styles, those who are 100% against drums and those who accept some drums, those who oppose all CCM, those who accept some CCM (also Southern Gospel, Bluegrass Gospel, etc.), those who think a baby dedication is okay and those who think such is too similar to a baby baptism to be okay; some believe Christians are commanded to tithe, some don't; some won't attend a theater no matter what is playing while some will; etc.

We have our differences, but more importantly, we share in common our salvation in Christ; we are all brothers and sisters in Christ.

In most matters, if we would allow the Spirit freedom and kept our emotions out of it, we could discuss most or all issues where we may differ in a civil, respectful manner and perhaps better understand one another and some could even find they were in error and embrace the truth or discover deeper understanding of the truth they are standing on.

I have a question. Why must we use the King James Version only when there have been older manuscripts found and we know more about the English language than we did before back in 1611? :puzzled: I am not disagreeing with the King James Only position' date=' I am just curious. I actually agree with the King James only position but this question was brought up on another board that I frequent.[/quote']
The best information I've found was put out by Dr. Jeffrey Khoo of the Far Eastern Bible College in Singapore. They removed the HTML and offered it a PDF, but I got their permission to host a copy of the original HTML at http://dannycarlton.net/KJVniv/KJV3.htm. The pertinent parts would be...

Great post, John. :thumb

We all have our differences but are all a part of Christ's body and members in particular. :smile

Fundie, I'll only say that this is only one side of the discussion, and I find Seth's description to be a horrible misrepresentation of the position. Its what is called a "strawman".

Why is it that you think Seth's post is so horrible?? I think he hit the nail right on the head. What is it that he missed? If you are concerned about getting hammered for a pro-MV post, feel free to send me a private message. I won't rail on you, but would actually like to hear your explanation.
