I must admit my son influenced me in saying "tenty-ten"...it just sound's fresh! Whatever we say it's His year!! I pray He work's in my heart although I know I don't desrve it!! I pray He show's every single one of us what He want;s us to do and that we take one step of faith at a time and do His will for our personall life. In Christ,, His by Grace

twenty-o-nine, two thousand and nine sounds so long! :th_tiphat:

Why waste words?

So that... (I'd explain more but I don't want to waste words) - [said in fun]

Thinking about it... since we are in this year why don't we just say "now?" Like, Jan 5, now

we really should have said 20-hundreds for 2,000 just like we say 18-hundreds for 1800.

Yes, but when you speak of the 18-hundreds, and or the 19 hundreds, it sounds right, yet when you use it now that we are in the 20 hundreds, it just don't sound right. :bleh:

I recall setting in study hall discussing with a class mate in 1965 about how we would say the year 2,000, we could not come up with anything that sounded right. We came to the conclusion that it was so far off we would never be bothered with it.
